Just done a ride on Valhalla ❌ NO stoppages 🔥 All fire effects working 💨 The hot steam room was on 💦 The vortex was on 🎵 The audio is much MUCH louder 💀 All animatronics working 💡 The lighting was synching properly @Pleasure_Beach That was so much better 🫶

Yesterday my fiancé and I went to Kings Island! It was in the 80°s all day and hot and It was a lot of fun! Soap box racers was test! However, we saw a woman wearing see through pants walking through camp snoopy!? How disgusting! Also, lots of gay pride merch! What's going on!?

Still a problem with blocking. Every train is stopping at the top for a few seconds. Mechanic on Colossus said it isn’t re-opening, staff at the ride are not sure. Why is Hyperia causing us all so much anxiety? 😂😩🪽

As an ex ride op I just want to say if you are visiting a theme park this week please PLEASE be respectful of the staff. They work long hours in hot conditions and the job is challenging and hard work. Shouting at them isn’t going to get your point across. Safety is paramount 🙌

Hi @altontowers , your Spinball staff were amazing today helping a young lad with (I’m assuming) autism onto the ride when he was clearly very nervous. They were patient, held his hand, explained what the ride did and were just incredible. Ps here is me and Owen ✌️

I really wish Merlin would sever their contract with Aramark, one of the worst and most expensive food providers in the UK. I’ve never met a single person who has said a good thing about the crap they serve. Build us new coasters, great. Next move should be improving catering.

People are already complaining about the trains being too slow on Nemesis. It’s minus 5 in Staffordshire this week and the wheels are brand new and not worn in. Not ideal conditions for an any coaster! Just have a little faith and be thankful that Nemesis is alive again.

The UK coaster lineup is underrated. A lot of our coasters are short in length, but we were the B&M testing ground for new coaster concepts, we have the worlds fastest accelerator, the most unique and best themed invert and the biggest Mack coaster ever built #NotBad

Saw is at the stage where it is borderline unrideable. Just gave it another go to see whether it’s as bad as I remember, and it’s worse. I wouldn’t even mind if they removed/replaced it. A shame as it used to be my favourite ride at Thorpe Park 👎

Sad news. Pleasure Beach has slipped back into the red, with £522k pre-tax losses recorded for the year to March 2023, compared to a £8.3 million profit the year before. As we head into 2024, it’s important to think about supporting parks that are privately funded.

It’s a scorching hot day in Blackpool, the promenade is heaving (because most schools go back on Wednesday), hotels are full, but Pleasure Beach is closed today. It doesn’t make much business sense I’m afraid.

A lot of people I spoke to over the weekend all had the same opinion, that The Big One is more intimidating than Hyperia. I found that very interesting! You only really get a sense of height on Hyperia on the stall loop, whereas on The Big One it’s from the slow climb.

Apparently Hyperia will open again tomorrow if all goes well. It operated for little over a couple of hours before closing for the day today. If you’re travelling a good distance just for Hyperia, maybe wait until she isn’t so temperamental 🪽

Sadly Hyperia has not been able to resume operation and has been closed. Park says it will take some time to resolve whatever is wrong but won’t give any more information. Just been told to exit and said they do not know if it will be open tomorrow 😢

Want to give a shout out to the boss girl supervising the Hyperia queue line who served queue jumpers their arses all weekend. She was only young, but she wasn’t afraid to interject and haul people out of the queue who were pushing in. Wish I’d got her name, but she was awesome.

After my second ride on TCOAM I’ve concluded that it is a 5* attraction and that @CreativeJohnB is a creative genius. It’s such a clever piece of theatre incorporated into a ride. The imagineering, care and love that went into it is so apparent. So many little touches. Perfect 🖤

Does anyone have a “comfort coaster”? For me, it’s The Big One. Hear me out. If I’ve had a bad day at work or if my mood is generally low, having a ride on this coaster always sorts me out. When I pull down the lap bar, the worries of real life are temporarily on a hiatus 🤍
