According to North Carolina State University, athletes trying to build muscle mass need 24 to 27 calories per pound of body wt. That means a 180 lb athlete needs approx 4590 Calories a Day to see gains! Nutrition is just as important as work! Maybe more...

Firm believer that HS coaches, regardless of sport, want their athletes to play multiple sports. Not convinced that summer ball coaches/club league coaches/personal trainers give a rip about guys playing multiple sports. Most, not all, care about the $ you pay them.

Best athletic advice I’ve ever been given came from my dad (retired coach of 30+ years). It is still the best advice I could give any athlete: “LIFT, RUN, AND PRACTICE EVERY SINGLE DAY LIKE YOU ARE TRYING TO MAKE THE TEAM!”
