A recruit’s parent emailed me this afternoon. He tells me his son is not interested because my program is not a match for the caliber of athlete he is, and how my best athletes wouldn’t qualify for a tryout on his club team. He has offers from real D1 schools. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Both of my grandmothers were buried this month. Both lived long, amazing lives. Both loved the Lord dearly. I can truly say I am going to miss them both so damn much. I know he only gives you what you can handle, but I need him to let off the gas for a bit.

🚨ATHLETES 🚨 Make sure the SCHOOL is the best fit for you, from education and social standpoint. Plan for the reality you may quit after year 1 bc sports aren’t forever. You should be able to say “I’ll be fine hear w/o the sport” at the end of the day.
