Got back from our game yesterday afternoon and ran out to watch my son. Didn’t get there in time to see this but pretty cool when post game he wants to know how our guys did. Even more cool when our guys walk in today and want to know how he did last nite. Proud of him…and them.

Competition Friday was Spikeball! Guys got after it. Best part... Coaches just watched. Any competitive disagreements had to be handled by players. Rule changes, handled by players. Scoring, handled by players... Ultimately, baseball games... Handled by players.

One of the best things we do in our Program... Players get 1 day off a week to see teachers, tutors, arrange appointments, spend time with family, or just be a kid. The academic, mental, and physical benefits vastly outweigh ‘lost’ practice time.

Had a player send this... Hitter, on-deck guy and ‘stander’ all actively engaged with the pitcher. A team full of guys on the wall and involved in the game... Put this in place years ago. Rarely talk about it now. Guys know the standard and hold each other accountable. Love it!

Had some guys go over and spend the day at the @UIWBaseball Showcase. @Pat_Hallmark , @catcherswing and the rest of the staff over there are first class. No surprise they opened some eyes in the Southland last year... Look for that program to continue to get better and better.
