Year 1 as a HC comes to an end. I dont think I can put into words how proud I am of everyone that is a part of our program. We took a program that was 1-27 and turned it completely around. 11th playoff team in school history, 7th most wins in a season since 2000

When I got hired I remember being told “you don’t want that job” “that’s a bad group of kids there”. My kids proved everyone wrong. We did it with 0 transfers, all Cousino kids that bought in and believed. I love my guys and I’m proud to be the Head Coach of the Cousino Patriots

Wasn’t the outcome we hoped for, the Patriots end the season 6-4. Back to back playoff appearances and a conference championship two years removed from having to shut down the program. Thank you class of ‘24 for all you’ve done.

The MAC (hs) really gets 0 respect outside of the MAC Red. The Silver is one of the best small school conferences in the state. All division 4-6 schools beating on each other. There are some really good players in the lower part of the MAC right now that don’t get enough credit

It's really exciting to see all of the media exposure for the game saturday. Just two years ago both of these teams combined to win 4 games, now they are getting mentioned with the Metro Detroit powers for game of the week. Really cool to see.

Suicide rates in poverty stricken areas are going to continue to rise as the costs of living goes up and wages stay stagnant. Working in a school that’s majority poverty kids the pressure for young males to shoulder the burden of helping their family provide weighs on them.
