Everyone involved with Clonguish GAA is absolutely heartbroken at the tragic passing of Andrew Jackson. Andrew lined out at corner back on the Clonguish Óg minor team that won the club’s first Minor A Championship for 18 years.

Ahead of this weekends Leader Cup final, a look back at the first Leader Cup title for Clonguish in 1952. This was not their first SFL title - that was in 1911 in the Senior League-Championship competition which ran from 1911 to 1935 prior to introduction of Leader Cup from 1936.

On this day in 2000 Longford U-16 Hurlers won the Connacht U-16 'C' Hurling title with victory over Mayo in Athleague. Longford went on to reach the All-Ireland 'C' Hurling Final, losing out to Armagh.
