Update on the proposal to develop a greenway on the abandoned rail line from Cork to Kinsale. The first project on the route (Viaduct to Kinsale Road) is at procurement stage. If all goes to plan, construction of this part will begin in mid 2023 and take approx 12 months

It’s official! @corkcitycouncil have decided to introduce a 3 month moratorium on rates for the businesses most impacted by #Covid_19 , which are primarily businesses in the hospitality, retail, leisure and childcare sectors. The matter will then be reviewed and may be extended.

At the City Council meeting this evening, I received official confirmation from @corkcitycouncil that it is anticipated that the Pedestrian & Cycle Lane from the Grange Road to Tramore Valley Park will be completed by the middle of next year!

I am delighted that @corkcitycouncil has installed 2 Solar Powered Speed Warning Signs on the Grange Road. This is something which I first proposed last October and have been pushing for since then.

I was delighted to join my @FineGael colleagues at the Old Kenmare Cemetery to commemorate the centenary of the tragic deaths of the patriots Tom & John O’Connor Scarteen. Very thoughtful and moving orations were given by Cllr Patrick O’Connor @Scarteen & Minister @peterburkefg
