The game we all love lost a Legend yesterday. Nigel Warne sadly passed away after a very long battle with ill health. The district of Salford and the County of Lancashire owe this man so much. He will be missed by so many. A true gentleman. Rest in peace Nigel.
So after the extensive end of season renovations, the square is in phenomenal condition for January 8th!
The mammoth job consisted of: Removing 20 tons of old loam
Laser levelling of the square
Reloaming with fresh Ongar loam
Reseeding with nitrogen coated Test level seed.
We are delighted to announce that Gareth Cross has re-signed as professional for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. Gareth has been one of the stand out professional's in the GMCL premier league over the last 2 seasons with both bat and ball which has made him a target by clubs.
The club are delighted to announce we have agreed to re-sign our professional Ryan Ayres for another 2 seasons.
Ryan has settled in exceptionally well on and off the field in his 1st season with the club, and we look forward to what the future can bring.
Just wasn’t our day today, but what a performance. The lads took it right to the end but fell just short. What an advert for cricket in Lancashire!

Yet another cut for the square this morning. It’s growing like mad after a good feed and the recent rain. We’re in fantastic condition, just waiting for the green light!

Good luck to 2023 professional as he heads to Oz, another fantastic season for him & team with us finishing 3rd in GMCL Premier Division. Good luck

Our thoughts and prayers go out this evening to Gareth Olive’s family and to our friends down at
@KearsleyCC
“Ollie” came regularly in recent times to watch our 1st XI down at Manchester Road and the lads will miss him greatly.
By all accounts a lovely man and a great loss.
There will be a minutes applause prior to the 1st XI game on Saturday at 12.50pm to remember & pay tribute to our President Dave Robins who sadly passed away last week. Everyone is welcome to come along to pay tribute to Dave at the club he loved so much.
Some unbelievable work done over the past few weeks at Manchester Road! We finally have some cricket this weekend at CCC and we’re in phenomenal shape!
ROHAN FERNANDO HAS SCORED 195 TODAY IN A SALFORD DISTRICT GAME!!!!!! I think he likes batting on his home ground.
That is the highest score EVER for a Salford player! Salford finish 349/7 in their 40 overs.

Another year, another set of investments.
We have added 3 more 8 seater composite tables to the main seating area.
We have added 2 more aluminium and UPVC sight screens to give us 4 on the ground.
And finally the installation of all new netting and privacy screening!
Congratulations to our Under 9 team last night winning both of their matches, to make it 17 wins from 18 games played this season, thus topping their league. Well done to
@StephenMcManus3
