When Everton are, sometimes deservingly, made fun of, we are expected to take it as “banter”. Our social media team have reacted to a funny tweet about a buzzer noise at the half time hit the bar and now people are wading it calling us a disgrace. Wow.
The capacity at goodison is 39,572.
As 1 in 4 of us will have a mental health condition at some point in our life. So that means that on a matchday, there may be 9800 people dealing with their own mental health issues and that’s just at goodison
I am one of them
Keep talking
I’ll often remark that Everton have ruined my weekend when they get beat, in reality they haven’t, they’ve made me feel crap.
However, a win can make you feel on top of the world and gives you some hope and pride back.
Let’s hope we all feel great this time tomorrow 🤞
@ALANMYERSMEDIA
I honestly think I’ll cry with relief if this gets done, takeover doesn’t guarantee success or even points but would give us stability and that’s what we need. I put it mildly when I say it’s been a hard slog 😫
@blackrodblue
@lspark_89
@Everton
Richarlison also wanted the move, he came back and scored two goals, refused to celebrate and then this season when we got battered he came over to the away end and gave a young Everton fan his shirt. He was not a boyhood blue and didn’t come through the academy but shows respect
@alexraggy_
@JoelGray__
I saw this and thought, ah I’ve read this and it’s brilliant, sorry if you had a crap day. I had a good day but I’m sure next week I will be fed up and you’ll be happy! Hope you got home safe!
Maybe i romanticise David Moyes as he was the manager in my late teens and twenties and I didn’t miss a game home/away/europe but I do like him. Seeing him called out for comments he made as Man U manager or his relegation at Sunderland do seem unfair. I remember being in a…
Anyway I’m running for fans forum and voting is open. Some strong candidates do not at all confident but if you do wish to vote for me then would be much appreciated!

Great fans, found a few lads in a bit lost and I helped them to find the away end (easier to walk down the Gwladys street from where they were) and they were very polite and grateful. I wished them good luck, they said the same to me. 99.9% of football fans are great
Never been fishing, nor do I intend to but Mortimer and Whitehouse Go Fishing is one of my favourite programmes. It’s just so wholesome!
Made up the new series is back
Matchdays in my 20s - deal with the previous days hangover, then pub, match, pub
Matchdays in my 30s - “I’ll have one before the game but have to get back for the baby”
Matchdays now I am 40 -leave the house at 2.15, Watch the match and come home to have a decent brew
please go to the shop (there’s two home and bargains on county road) and for the price of a couple of pints or a programme you can help support people in our city who need help. Everyone should have a right to food and fans supporting foodbanks do an amazing job to ensure that
When will win hold onto a lead eh!
Ultimately, a point away from home with the defence the way it is is fine so why does it feel like a defeat.
Least we didn’t completely implode eh. That’s progress surely 😂
@bushontheradio
@goodhousemag
I have a dry robe for camping, it’s brilliant but never really thought of using it for my morning dog walks..until now!! You have influenced me into being toasty and not wrecking my Ted baker coat that I’ve been wearing. Cheers 😂
@bushontheradio
Used to think it was normal to watch films in stages, my dad would put 40 minutes on and turn it off then next day watch about the same then so on, took me 6 days to watch sixth sense with him. Was just the norm to do this, wasn’t until I was older I realised this was bizarre.
@canadiancarol1
I am a parent who has never needed assistance with free school meals etc, but more than happy to pay my way to ensure children less fortunate have the right to food. I am not too sure why you are so against parents who may be struggling or hungry children to be honest.
In true catholic style we have fish on a Friday. Trying to lose weight so I tried dusted yellowfin soul and you know what it was ok, didn’t smell too badly anyway 😂
Still think cod in batter is the best, especially with chips, mushy peas, bread and butter with a mug of tea!
Asked James what he wants to watch, he said Mr Bates v the Post office. He’s watched the first episode and has gone to bed very angry. Wouldn’t believe he was only 9. Maybe he will be a lawyer like his mum.
These years later as when he was our manager I mostly remember having a good time watching Everton, which is often the opposite of how I feel the last few years. Can always pick fault over him but I can see the many positives too. Either way let’s hope we get some wins very soon!
James just told me that he doesn’t believe in Father Christmas anymore, so Everton, please do not make this day any worse for me 😭😭 I’m going to keep the magic going and hope he changes his mind for one last year, apparently a kid in his class who has older siblings told him
A few days left of voting. I have no agenda to get anything from the club or gain an advantage for myself, just want to help those who need a voice and make sure no blue is forgotten about this season or the move. Just a normal fan trying to make the club better for the fans.
Anyway I’m running for fans forum and voting is open. Some strong candidates do not at all confident but if you do wish to vote for me then would be much appreciated!
We're pleased to welcome our two new committee members -
@ClareLou1878
and
@MrPhilPeel
. Clare is a season ticket holder in the Gwladys St and Phil sits in the lower Park End.
Congratulations to you both and we're looking forward to seeing you at our August meeting
#30YearsOfEDSA
Just spent the last 20 minutes crying over Hamish. A dog is the most loyal friend you ever can wish for and there should be the death penalty for anyone who hurts them deliberately.
Left in a box in a car park, tiny puppy Hamish was brought into our care by a member of the public. And that wasn't all. When the team gave him a once over, they discovered part of his ear and tail were missing, something we think had been done deliberately. 💔

Remember a few years ago the media gaslighting villa fans into thinking that Steven Gerrard as manager was the best they can do and they should be grateful, just look at them now. Made up for them, gives you a bit of hope.
You can criticise a player/manager without resorting to ableist language or derogatory slurs. It’s 2024 and it’s just not acceptable, buy a thesaurus or keep your words to yourself. It’s not cool or kind.
One hour left of the fans forum vote. Not feeling that confident as the fans I am up against are so strong. I’m brand new to
@EdsaEfc
and regardless as to the outcome will use my voice and my experience to make the matchday experience better and more inclusive for all.
It will cost a combined £20 for James and i to attend the Doncaster cup game. Great by the club, keeping football as affordable as possible when everyone is feeling the back to school pinch.
I attended my first
@EdsaEfc

@EFC_FansForum
meetings last week not sure what to expect. I must say the level of hard work and commitment that goes into the meetings is exceptional. Normal fans who want the best club for us all and they made me very welcome.
As you will know, I love walks with my dog max. We are looking at a local adventure this weekend and something new. We have done Wirral way in both directions, the aintree canal is near my house so I’ve hammered that and have done Crosby to formby/Southport loads. Any suggestions
A short term appointment he would be fine. I get people don’t want him so you won’t get me convincing anyone otherwise as football is tribal enough without arguing over an ex manager. All I’m saying is that I don’t think he’s a bad fella and it’s unfair to quote him again all…
Today I took in 4 wainwrights including the old man of coniston, weather was dry but the cloud inversion meant that visibility was poor at the trig point! This is how I deal with defeats like yesterday, walking all day with my dog
@SAMMYSCOUSE
@GiuliaBould
Giulia is absolutely the right person for this job. She works bloody hard and her communication has always been great. She called out a scenario which she felt was unfair on a player and does not have a duty to ask questions that would be detrimental to a players mental health.
I’m hearing a lot of “pressure mounts on Sean Dyche” but not sure it does, is there anyone at the club to make that decision if they wanted to. I’ve really tried to not wade in on managers but I cannot see any gameplan or formation with Everton it’s all “hope for the best” stuff
You know when people say “oh it’s like riding a bike, you never forget it”
Well, explain to me why at the age of 40 I’ve just had a go of a bike and couldn’t do it. Made one show of myself in the park then 😂
My little lad hasn’t ran in ages, probably as I’ve been off with injuries for a year or so. Anyway, he’s asked to start the couch to 5k and today he got up an hour earlier and did it! Our target for him to run a full 5k is the Liverpool Santa dash
Bar in Amsterdam for the alkmaar game and seeing his dad. He was so polite to me and my friend Jane and bought us a drink. He took our address and a week or so later David Moyes took the time to send us handwritten letters and some Everton stuff. Now I’m not saying that he…..
Love telling people about borrow box! Please sign up if you like books it’s free to use and borrow audiobooks and ebooks just like your library and will cost you nothing, it’s brilliant!
@BorrowBox
Max will bark relentlessly if left alone (which is not often maybe an hour a week) and we live next to an older couple who complain. We bought a collar that will beep if he barks. Within 2 hours he worked out that if he howls like a wolf then the beep doesn’t activate.
Fantastic
Not the best game but would have took the point before the game with the injuries we have. Just looking forward to the days of better football though if I’m honest.
I know most fans like to stand up at the match these days but honestly think we are all missing out massively on the “clicking of the seats” by doing so.
Its the best sound and because there are still parts of goodison with wooden seats it’s a noise we will lose forever soon 🥲
@thestaveros
Oh I’m on 100mg of sertraline, I don’t manage mine very well but the sertraline does. Running helps, the dog walking helps and often Everton help (well the fact I have to get up and get dressed rather than the football on offer). Just keep talking, I’m always here mate
Best thing about working from home is being able to get him out on the field for an hour. Worst thing is that he will roll in fox poo and I’ll have to give him a bath 😩
@bushontheradio
When you open a door for someone and they don’t say thank you or acknowledge you.
And couples who hold hands and walk slow on a narrow pavement so you cannot pass
@cashleslie940
It was a buzzer noise from catchphrase for a penalty out player saved. Other than the car incident, which was rightly called out as being out of order, this is the only other situation we have got involved with AG over. The way he behaved before the move is more of a bad look imo
@ALD1878X
She’s horrible, people who require breakfast clubs are actually often the parents who need to travel to employment and people who are struggling financially. Kids work and behave better with breakfast, let’s not fail poor kids eh, they have enough on
@shaunpryor1
@Everton
the £5 is for a junior ticket, my adult one was £15 as I’m a season ticket holder, not sure how offering an affordable ticket to supporters of a club in a deprived area of the country in a cost of living crisis has got anything to do with having local fans if I’m honest though
@SellBeforeWeDai
I hope things get better for your club soon. My beloved Everton are going through some hard times right now and I don’t wish that on any fan (not even the red side of the city) because a football club is more than a club it’s a big part of life, for me it definitely is.
Meant to be campaigning for votes but for me any of these wonderful blues could get it and I’d be happy, I have known
@BarryWilliams93
and
@CBobblers1878
for years and would trust them with my life never mind the club so if you are struggling for who to vote for these are great
Anyway I’m running for fans forum and voting is open. Some strong candidates do not at all confident but if you do wish to vote for me then would be much appreciated!
Best thing about working from home is that on my lunch hour I can watch classic corrie and make myself beans on toast without the fear that some scoundrel may have stolen my bread or butter.
Should be manager because of that, or because we may not be fans of Dyche etc but what I will say is that for me if he was manager I think he would unite the fanbase more than divide (never forget the peoples club comment which was not scripted its what he felt) and I think as…
99% of being back on Twitter/x has been really lovely but just saw a woman take off her knickers and put them next to savoury products in the lidl bakery section and I’ll be honest, I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry.
A big thank you to

in this case, for all the work that you do (that most times goes unseen) in assisting supporters to have a better matchday experience by providing feedback to the club.Thank you for being our voice💙
@GiuliaBould
Didn’t miss an away before I had James and there were some horrendous results, remember a particularly pathetic trip to qpr in particular. Never even entered my head to do this. Since covid the world in general seems more aggressive and confrontational, don’t like it at all.
@donachie_dan
@Everton
If this was about richarlison, Digne or even Dobbin I would be with you but whilst it is petty I don’t think it’s that out of order. He’s been nothing but vile towards the club and the fans since leaving. There’s no love lost and the social media team have had a joke.

It must be hard to be a manager in the days of social media. Years ago you would have a good moan in the pub after the game or on the way back from an away, ignore motd and go again next week hoping for better. I know i sound ancient but it did seem less stressful that way.
@DaJones1972
It’s a weird one with Carragher as sometimes he goes out of his way to be nice and fight our case, but then he also does this. It’s a shame about Gordon, I liked him and I think because he forced the move we sold him too cheap. Great player but any relationship with him has gone
Whilst I would love to have a trophy to send Goodson and possibly Coleman off, it’s not likely.
Personally, I would just like a nice drama free season, top 10 finish and my watch is not to alert me for increased heart rate constantly. That’s the dream.
24/25 season let’s go!
@GiuliaBould
Absolutely not. Keep being a pain and push back. A medicinal receptionist is a tough job but I wouldn’t allow someone not medically trained to assess me, certainly not with your unique Addison’s. Make sure you ring again

the other day it was after the Southampton game the other year. Had him up the wall that night 😂😂 got in thinking “oh must be midnight” it was 7.10pm 😂😂
@AllisonMchugh5
I just think it was a joke towards a player that had been pulling faces and smirking from kick off. He’s acted the “big-un” and this was our reaction. It’s not that deep. richarlison was not a boyhood blue, has scored against us and was still a lot more respectful than Gordon.
Watching the great north run after pretty much 18 months on and off with injury is frustrating, however I think my knee could be tempted in a small run tomorrow 😂 need to get this stone off before Christmas! Here’s me a couple of years ago happy as Larry at the start and finish
@teenytinysuz
@nealmaupay_
Thing is this is what the media will see and pick up on as it fits their narrative. Hope the club takes strong action against those clearly identified in videos, would certainly send a warning out to any other people who will try and justify it
@GoTheGameDontI
@JohnMc70
I think so, he can make a sandwich now I know there’s lots that the dyspraxia doesn’t allow him to be good at but he has a go. He’s been for a run tonight too, well the second week of couch to 5k he’s up to and I’m helping him to learn how to tie laces.
