Wow -
@SenatorRomney
‘s Family Security Act is incredible.
📈 Increases the CTC
🤱 Supports mothers through pregnancy
🧮 Simplifies the EITC
👶🏽 Jumpstarts Baby Bonuses
A win for American families 🇺🇸
The modern economy seems to discount the merits of raising children, and federal family policy remains antiquated and scattered across the tax code. My Family Security Act increases the Child Tax Credit without adding a penny to the national debt.
Misguided criticism on so many levels.
So we should spend every last dime like the federal government? To say the church “doesn’t do any good” is unserious.
I guess since the $ wasn’t spent how this individual staffer personally thinks it should be, it does no good.
“I thought I was going to work for a charity… and do good… And the funds were never used for that,” whistleblower David Nielsen told Sharyn Alfonsi. He used to help manage the Mormon church's investment fund. 60 Minutes reports, tonight.

I know I’ll get dunked on (from both sides) for saying this but I think

Preserving civil discourse is an important piece of our political system. I think we can stand up for our core beliefs without demonizing our neighbors:
It’s official - I’m running for re-election to represent you in House District 60. 🇺🇸
In the next couple of days & weeks I’ll share more information on how to get involved if you’re interested.

My dad wore this watch every day at work for over a decade. When he died I kept up the tradition and wore it every day on patrol - until it was snapped in half during an incident last year. My wife got it fixed & I’m stoked to have it back.
Our community is devastated this week.
We lost one of Utah’s finest.
But evil will not prevail.
We will hold the line.
We will look after the families of the fallen.
We will continue to pursue those who seek to do our state harm.
And we will never let your sacrifice
It was the honor of a lifetime to be named legislator of the year by the Utah FOP. Public safety is the bedrock of any functioning civil society.
Now more than ever we need to stand up for common sense, make sure criminals are held accountable, and work to strengthen our
Utah is among 10 states that have no working-class lawmakers in the state Capitol. The dearth of working-class legislators raises concerns that economic challenges such as wage stagnation and the rising cost of living will get short shrift.

On September 11th, 2001 we found our heroes in full force. Some wore uniforms and ran into burning buildings to save their fellow Americans—most never to return. Others opened up their homes to strangers and helped bound wounds. Some even traveled by sea to rescue stranded New
3 years ago today I lost my dad to cancer - it’s a bittersweet road to travel, sad because you miss the man who gave you everything, but keenly grateful to be so lucky to have a dad like him.
I’m also grateful this Sabbath day for our Savior who made it possible for all of us
Let me share a quick story about one of my amazing colleagues, Representative Jeff Burton.
On the last week of the session, I ran into Representative Burton in the parking garage around 11 PM.

My dad was a tough dude who ripped phone books in half for fun & never missed a 4am lift.
But more than anything he was just a good man who tried to do good in his community & look after his family and all the "little guys" in our town.
Maybe it’s because I work the night shift, or maybe it’s in my genes (my dad was a cop too). Whatever it is, I’m an unapologetic patron of 7/11 almost daily. I love going in to get a drink, checking out the snacks, and shooting the breeze with the folks working the register. In
From the bottom of my heart - thank you to everyone who made today possible.
Taking on the challenges we face in the 21st century is a team effort. Proud to be a small part of the efforts working to renew the American Dream. 🇺🇸
Ran into UHP Trooper Ben Fagan this AM who heroically pulled his partner from a burning car earlier this month. Proud to work alongside Utah’s finest - Merry Christmas!!

It’s been a hard week for Utah as today we had to say goodbye to a hero: Sgt. Bill Hooser.
I’ve been in awe of the way our state has rallied around a family that is broken. A family missing their dad. A community missing their officer.
I believe this is the humanitarian crisis of our lifetime - It’s not compassionate to let people live on the street & commit slow-motion suicide.
We will continue to work on finding real solutions to homelessness including:

The Utah Department of Health and Human Services released its first-ever homeless mortality rate report, finding those experiencing homelessness in Utah are “dying at a much higher rate and at much younger ages.”
Merry Christmas! - Jesus Christ is the reason for the season.
As a very imperfect person, I am eternally grateful for His life, His example, His ministry, and His atonement.
Christ is King! 💜✝️
When it comes to homelessness, it’s pretty easy to articulate what we don’t want to be like. We’ve seen the squalor and destruction brought upon cities like San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, and Los Angeles. Some leaders across the nation see the human suffering and think that

There are a lot of “cheap seats” in politics.
It’s a lot harder to jump into the fray and address the issues head on.

BREAKING: ICE has informed me that Utah has been designated a "sanctuary state" due to our lack of cooperation. As a red state, we've now been numbered next to CA, NY, and other blue states. This can not stand. We must do better.
These guys won’t make headlines and won’t get an award - it’s just another day in the life for them.
But springing up out of the house on a Sunday to rush over to fix a massive sinkhole in the ground is what makes our state function.
Proud of these blue collar champions. 🇺🇸

Late 1 night when I was in high school, my father walked into the house covered in mud & sweat,he had just shattered his elbow going after an armed suspect who ran into the marsh. Exhausted, he took a shower and went back & forth with my mom on whether or not to go to the doctor.

This bill awards a $5000 per year scholarship to children of police officers & firefighters killed in the line of duty.
Currently our largest mental health providers are county jails & the state prison.
Many of our homeless brothers & sisters desperately need treatment and services to heal. This session I’m excited to work on expanding our ability to reach those suffering on the streets.
This coming legislative session, I’m working hard with other state leaders to improve Utah’s mental health services. If you or a loved one have any personal experience working to access services - please message me & if you feel comfortable, share your story. 👊🇺🇸
I was honored to be today’s speaker at the Rotary club of Salt Lake City. We discussed the fentanyl & meth crisis, homelessness, and meaningful solutions to the challenges our communities face. ☀️🏔️🇺🇸
Happy Heavenly Father’s Day to my dad Matt Clancy. A Marine, a cop, a devoted Christian, a proud American, a great husband, and the best father a guy could ever hope for.
See you soon Dad.
I am excited to announce that next month, my team & I will be bringing together experts, thought leaders, & policymakers to explore strategies and initiatives that can drive positive change in the vital areas of the family, addiction, loneliness, and meaningful work. The
Enjoyed seeing so many great friends and neighbors at the Utah County Convention today.
Responsive & accountable government begins with neighborhood-level civic engagement.
I am grateful to be your Republican nominee for Utah House District 60! 🇺🇸
Since being elected to the State House, I have made standing up for victims & survivors a key priority. As I see it - there are two important pieces to the puzzle of quality victim’s services. The first is how we respond when someone is violated. Dignity, trust, and

Big corporations & wealthy companies have the time, money, and lobbyists to to fight for their interests.

for the work you do to help our neighbors battling addiction.
We will continue to team up in combatting the opioid crisis both in the legislature and in the community.
In 2018 I learned about a drug called fentanyl.
It took my friend Santee (pictured here w/ his daughter) after he battled addiction for many years.
Since then it’s claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans stuck in a seemingly inescapable cycle of addiction. 🧵
