Please continue to stay out of the area. Residents in the area should continue to keep their doors and windows closed as a precaution. We will continue to have our 24 hour fire watch personnel on site until further notice.

11/16/23 Hangar Incident Update
CURRENT SITUATION: The hanger now has approximately 30-50 feet of the western-facing wall still standing. Drone flights conducted this morning revealed no heavy smoke or flare-ups at the hangar site.

The Tustin PD is closely monitoring the current brush fires and are in constant communication with OCFA. Just as a reminder, there are only voluntary evacuations off of Pioneer Rd & Jamboree Rd, north of Portola.
Mayor Bernstein was in Old Town today visiting businesses that will be extending operations to common areas, parking lots and public right of ways as part of a City permit program to help businesses serve more customers while adhering to all regulations.
There is currently a fire in Beaumont & there may be smoke drifting into the Brea & Yorba Linda areas. We have investigated & there is no fire in our area.

Today crews began lowering the north hangar doors. During this slow & controlled process, cranes laid down each section of the door to the ground.

More Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) crews are arriving to reinforce the six hundred workers already present. The focus of these inspections will begin at the neighborhoods closest to the fire.

11/24/23 HANGAR INCIDENT UPDATE:
On Wednesday, Certified Asbestos Consultant’s (CACs) and Asbestos mitigation contractors started exterior (front & back yard) inspections within the residential communities closest to the hangar.

Although there are no longer visible flames/smoke seen from the hangar site, infrared drone flights show a couple small spots of heat coming from deep w/in the debris pile on the floor of the hangar.

WIND EVENT: Despite the high winds, there has been no visible smoke or debris being carried away from the site.
