The City of South Portland will require masks in public buildings beginning Mon. Jan. 24 due to the dramatic increase in cases of COVID-19. This mandate applies to any building/portion of a building that is regularly accessible to the general public. FMI

Due to the potential for heavy snow this weekend, the City will be extending the parking ban to cover all of Sunday. The ban will run from midnight Saturday night and end at 6:00 am on Monday morning. The regular ban will be in effect after that. Thank you for your assistance.

Cumberland County remains in the high transmission category & likely will for a few more weeks. Masks will continue to be required in all City facilities through at least 9/15. The county needs to be out of high transmission for at least 1 week before we remove the mask mandate.

An emergency parking ban will be in effect from Weds., 4/3 at 9 PM until Fri., 4/5 at 9 AM. No parking is permitted on any City street during this time. Public lots on Waterman Drive, the Bug Light Boat Launch & Willow Street are available for temporary parking.
