We are smelling a strong natural gas smell here in Anaheim. There is no immediate threat to our city. This is being reported across our region. It is believed to be from an incident in Los Angeles, with the smell trapped and amplified by the smoke haze cover above us.

Crews onsite at developing, still unnamed fire in Yorba Linda. No immediate threat but poses risk to Anaheim. We are closely monitoring, will update. East residents should be thinking about emergency plans.
The Anaheim Convention Center area will be busier than usual Friday for the California Republican Party convention with former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

We have felt an earthquake in Anaheim. Early reports are about 4.5 magnitude in Lytle Creek near Rancho Cucamonga at 10:55 a.m.
The quake was pronounced with rolling waves lasting a few seconds.
