Beginning the week of May 20, Taylor residents will see increased activity on 2nd and 4th streets and should be on alert for lane closures and construction crews as the Taylor on the Move construction project continues. Learn more:
Williamson County's contractor will be closing Pivot Drive at Carlos G. Parker starting on Wednesday, Aug. 14, to reconstruct the intersection. This closure could last up to one week. North Drive and Meadow Lane should be used as the alternate routes during the closure.
BRA has notified the City of Taylor that it has rescinded Stage 3 water restrictions due to temporary pump failures at Lake Granger on July 15, 2024. City of Taylor water has returned to normal and no restrictions are currently in place.

The City's Water Department is currently in the process of replacing a fire hydrant in the area of Fowzer Street between Ninth Street and 12th Street. Residents and businesses in this area may experience low to no water pressure during this time.
BRA has notified the City that it is implementing a Stage 3 Drought Warning for the East Williamson County Regional Water System at Lake Granger. BRA is requiring consumers to reduce water usage by 20% effective immediately. Read more:

WCCHD has notified the City that a mosquito trap sample collected in Taylor has tested positive for West Nile Virus. The positive tests were confirmed in lab results received on July 5.
