Williamson County's contractor will be closing Pivot Drive at Carlos G. Parker starting on Wednesday, Aug. 14, to reconstruct the intersection. This closure could last up to one week. North Drive and Meadow Lane should be used as the alternate routes during the closure.

BRA has notified the City of Taylor that it has rescinded Stage 3 water restrictions due to temporary pump failures at Lake Granger on July 15, 2024. City of Taylor water has returned to normal and no restrictions are currently in place. More here:

BRA has notified the City that it is implementing a Stage 3 Drought Warning for the East Williamson County Regional Water System at Lake Granger. BRA is requiring consumers to reduce water usage by 20% effective immediately. Read more:

WCCHD has notified the City that a mosquito trap sample collected in Taylor has tested positive for West Nile Virus. The positive tests were confirmed in lab results received on July 5. Read more here:

The Taylor Public Library will reopen today (7/5) for normal business hours: noon to 6 PM. The Library is cooler, but still awaiting parts for a permanent fix to the ac unit.

Seal coating will begin July on 2nd St. Construction will be 8:30AM-8PM & is anticipated to be completed by the end of the week. While work is being conducted, traffic will be redirected & there will be no parking allowed in areas where work is being done.
