why are so many people insulting this person? I think this thread raises a very interesting point about how older games use things like sound and skyboxes to make a world seem larger than it really is purely off of your own imagination

When revisiting an old game, do you ever feel like you’re being watched?

technology has gotten to a point where in most modern games you can go everywhere you see and anything beyond that is ignored. I find myself imagining the world beyond the confines of the map in older games a lot more than I do in newer ones
