I see this everywhere...news outlets, local and national, keep talking about "fears" and hint at a recession when there's literally not one iota of information to suggest something that dramatic. It's like they're trying to speak it into existence.
The New York Times simply refuses to report good news on the economy without throwing shade on it. What is the phrase “as fears linger” doing here? Fears ALWAYS linger. You could add that to every economy story ever.
@Shermichael_
I’d like to think a reasonable person would view them for what they are - experts. If you needed medical care, you’d want the best minds working to cure you. Democracy is pretty important. Why wouldn’t one want experts helping put this all into context?

Some have asked us to FOIA McNally’s emails — but state reps and senators are exempt from FOIA requests in Tennessee for some reason. 🤔
Public officials whose emails and correspondence are for some reason not public. Go figure!

Elon, here's something you probably didn't know, besides what journalists ACTUALLY do: there's a reason you need a journalism degree to do this job because with it comes a working knowledge of law, ethical practices and information gathering. That's what makes us legitimate.

@QuincyJMcKnigh1
you know, Quincy, for you and your ilk constantly preaching the party of personal responsibility, you're certainly showing why we need to start holding elected officials to a higher standard
Just another day being a woman in the world! The amount of times that I deal with street harassment as a female journalist who works alone is exhausting. Notice how quickly this man got angry when I tried to *politely* dismiss him so I could DO MY JOB.
I am truly blessed & grateful to have signed a new contract at 21 News that will pair me up with my buddy Corey McCrae to anchor the weekend 6 and 11 news together. I’ll keep doing weather weekend evenings & report 3 days a week. Get ready for more of “The News Brothers” soon!

Today marks four years for me at the only station I ever wanted to work for. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity, especially to Mona, Jack and Mark, as well as the viewers. What do you say to a few more years? 😎

@21WFMJ
Spoke to my mom’s class at Mines Elementary after they read about the 2011 Joplin, MO EF5 tornado - we discussed tornado history in Ohio including the 1985 outbreak, the difference between a watch and a warning, and of course tornado safety! They all asked great questions!
Shout out to the keyboard warriors who said such awful things about me during our tornado warning cut-in.
I'm a golfer too, so it stinks to have to cut in - but I will NEVER apologize for doing my job.
It’s pains me to say this but

last night was simply a let down. No one on stage looked like they were having fun. There was no storytelling. And the music felt flat.

Please, Governor, explain how 160,000 deaths is a “scare tactic by the media”. I’d love to hear your explanation. I insist, I’ll wait.
I’m off until Saturday morning for WFMJ Weekend Today, but I want to wish you a truly blessed Christmas if you’re celebrating, a joyous Kwanzaa if you’re celebrating and every good thing no matter what! ❤️

We have not downplayed anything. We’ve brought chemists and experts in to contextualize the data published, detailed Norfolk Southern’s track record of these incidents, given residents a voice for their concerns, and will continue to.

If you’re not prepared to be held accountable by JOURNALISTS whose profession is protected by the Constitution you took an oath to uphold, you may want to rethink running for public office. Stop the scapegoating, Rep Loychik. Enough.
