Source: Talks are heating up between

on a Deshaun Watson trade. Still some hurdles to get over. But both sides attempting to come to an agreement.
Pro Bowl: โhey Josh weโd love to have you play in our game this year, you were an alternate and get the nod now. youโll earn $40k!โ
Josh Allen:
The start to DeMario Davis' 2024 -- now at 35 years old -- continues to build the case that we need some type of documentary on this dude as the best 30+ year old resurgence in modern NFL history
My take on the
#Bills
season: This team was *very* Josh Allen centric. Other elite teams have built awesome full rosters around their QB. Play-calling, OL, WR depth. Bills lacked in those areas relative to those clubs. Buffalo needs to make upgrades.
idk why Ken Dorsey would leave Buffalo / follow Brian Daboll wherever.
Heโs in line to be an OC regardless. Staying with Josh Allen would be the best option for him. As a springboard up the coaching ranks.
On Sam Darnold / Josh Allen debate:
Darnold was better prospect. But had concerning flaws. He's underwhelmed in NFL in two yrs but has been minimally helped by Jets.
Allen has exceeded expectations and Bills have done good job building around him.
Right now, Allen > Darnold
Josh Allen was pressured on 41% of this drop backs yesterday (per PFF) vs. best pressure-creation defense from a season ago. The quartet of T.J. Watt, Melvin Ingram, Alex Highsmith, and Cam Heyward had A DAY.
Given how the league is with fines, I'm a little surprised Trey Hendrickson didn't get one for his clearly dirty roll into Josh Allen's legs on MNF in Week 17
Because itโs now officially official: I signed a multi-year contract with

โ NFL Draft and young NFL player analysis.
Iโm super grateful for all my followers and for the countless number of people whoโve helped me along the way. You know who you are. ๐
Ed Oliver has slowly but surely inched toward becoming the interior rusher the Bills were hoping when they drafted him inside the top 10 in 2019. Not an elite player yet. But an easy fifth-round option pick up. Heโs gotten better every season.
Re-watch the Bills and Chiefs divisional round game before trying to talk yourself into your team drafting a QB with an average arm and average athleticism
That 3rd and 9 QB sneak from inside their own 10 in a meaningless regular-season finale from the Giants yesterday may have been the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen in an NFL game.
BTW, itโs been about 20 years. And I love the current white helmets/uniforms. But the Bills need to bring these back when the NFL allows multiple helmets. Absolute fire.
That face

makes when
@PFTCommenter
says
@PardonMyTake
will pay the fine for Allen throwing the football into the stands / out of the stadium following his rushing touchdowns
- A fresh John Brown for the playoffs will be huge for Bills. So IRโing him now is sensible.
- Buffalo should put in a waiver claim on Kenny Stills
- Bills could use some more production from Dawson Knox
- Big opportunity over next 3-4 games for Gabriel Davis
IDK how I didn't tweet this earlier, but the Chris Fowler, Louis Riddick, Dan Orlovsky booth for MNF is tremendous.
Fowler's excitement aligns with the gravity of each play so well. Very knowledgeable too.
Riddick & Orlovsky give detailed critiques/analysis in rhythm all game.
Bills won a second-round playoff game against a top-end defense. In a contest that did not favor them because of the weather and got that victory mostly due to a super-strong defensive effort. Sign of a complete team.
Super-impressive game from Josh Allen. 366 total yards. Bills ST was bad. Defense plenty good enough.
Shawn Hoculi and his crew made a tightly contested divisional game nearly unwatchable. Plethora of tick-tack flags. Absolutely no consistency on roughing the passer calls.
Many in
#BillsMafia
remember the Gronk late hit on Tre'Davious White
And all those
#BillsMafia
members would immediately forget it the first time Gronk scores a TD from Josh Allen and their celebration is pretending to shotgun a beer
Ed Oliver's combine vs. Aaron Donald's combine:
Bench: Oliver (32), Donald (35)
Vertical: Oliver (36"), Donald (32")
Broad: Oliver (120"), Donald (116")
My opinion on Josh Allen after watching Week 1 and Week 2 film
- He's having issues deciding whether to rifle the ball downfield or put air under it, and he's mostly been wrong in his choices so far
- He's passed up some easy underneath throws
- Feels like early-season jitters
Josh Allen & Von Miller restructures are locks. Will happen any day now. They'll free around $32M in space for
#Bills
who are around $14M-$17M *over* the cap. Would then be around $16M under
Question is: will Buffalo restructure anyone else like Dawkins, White, Diggs, or Milano?
Patriots traded a RD2 pick for Mohamed Sanu. ๐ฌ
Falcons used that pick + a RD5 to trade for TE Hayden Hurst. They also got S Jaylinn Hawkins in that deal.
Ravens got J.K. Dobbins with that RD2 pick and used the RD5 pick to trade for Calais Campbell. ๐คฏ
JUST AN IDEA, don't lose your minds (and I do still think it's more sensible for BUF to just draft a WR early-ish)
but....
Bills get: DeAndre Hopkins, Isaiah Simmons
Cardinals get: Ed Oliver, Gabriel Davis + RD5
With the long-term in mind, here's how I'd rank 1st and 2nd year QBs based on what they've done individually, entering Week 6 (must have started 2+ games):
1a. Sam Howell
1b. Brock Purdy
3. C.J. Stroud
4. Anthony Richardson
5. Desmond Ridder
6. Kenny Pickett
7. Bryce Young
This, which never fully came to fruition, was Buffalo sending Mitch Trubisky to Washington Football Team. Was assured this morning it was just about done, which is why I tweeted โmight.โ
Iโm now 0-2 on these nearly consummated trades. I get it if youโre ticked. Wasnโt for clicks
Lastly. I completely do not understand nor agree with the โTitans are victims and had to endure so muchโ narrative floating around tonight with some people.
Iowa's Jack Campbell had a damn good workout in Indianapolis yesterday. One of best workouts we've ever seen from a linebacker. The performance is on par with Kuechly/Warner/LVE.
I don't care when he's picked. He's a decade-long, three-down stud (who can really cover) at MLB.
Devin Singletary is currently 11th in missed tackles forced despite being 28th in the NFL in carries. Like I've been saying since the '19 draft, the dude is a baller.
This is how Gregory Rousseau has to win as a rookie.
34 3/8" arms to keep OTs off his frame that needs a lot more bulk.
And it's a glimpse as to why Penei Sewell's 33 1/4" arms aren't ideal.
It's one rep. But great image to capture the functional element of measureables.
Forgot to tweet this earlier:
These were my awards selections for this season
MVP - Josh Allen
COTY - Kevin Stefanski
Comeback POY - Damar Hamlin / Joe Flacco
OPOY - Tyreek Hill
DPOY - Micah Parsons
OROY - C.J. Stroud
DROY - Jalen Carter
Re: Dominique Foxworth bit
Heโs a very smart, articulate analyst. Uses NFL experience well to shape opinions.
The Josh Allen bit was weird unnecessary galaxy brain idea. Could be formed about any QB/fan base & thoughts like that arenโt helping divisiveness in this country.
