This promo always gets to me because Punk was completely out of wrestling for 7 years. He didn't go to New Japan, he didn't go back to ROH, he just left. He left and in those 7 years others laid down the blueprint, others paved those roads, others took it farther than he ever did

People wanna focus on this match not being on PPV, but the real story should be how Kenny Omega passed the torch to MJF in the most classiest way possible. The biggest win in MJF's career. It was such an important moment in AEW's history. I can't stress enough how huge this was.
