Haydock. Sacre Coeur. Been frustrating for Mann & O'Neill since coming from FR. But the last time she had her favoured true soft ground (heavy ground winner in FR) was in the Graded Kingmaker chase off a mark of 135. Given opening rating of 140 she struggled in listed races.

Saint Xavier at Haydock in Veterans. Backed this one lto at Cheltenham when ran decent enough race when 4th after break. Clear as day needed further, so steps back up to 3m. More importantly I think for a horse who regularly runs at Auteuil he comes back to lh, level track.

Few thoughts on the 2.4m handicap. Fennor Cross. Shrewd trainer. Tried in Supreme & not good enough. Shaped like needed further (off feet). Likes decent surface & goes up in trip. Stays 1.2m on the level. Useful claimer (see Seddon) takes 5 off. 'Cap debut off 133. Perhaps more?
