It’s really not that hard. The simple reality is that this was Aaron’s team. It was built for him and when he went down, our chances dropped by 90%. We lost our entire offensive line week by week. Today was the best pass pro we’ve had all season and we still bombed. Today

4/15 There are other factors at play here, namely, the missing folks. Of course, Breece Hall being out hurts A LOT as does losing AVT. But factor into it missing Corey Davis, who is an all-around wide receiver. I think missing him hurts more than we realize.

6/15 Apart from broken down plays that turned into turnovers, Zach wasn’t half-bad at all. However, the team needs to establish a new order with their missing players, and the OL remains an issue. I see moves coming here…

2/15 it cannot be overstated that Bill Belichick is the worlds greatest coach when it comes to attacking and frustrating young Quarterbacks. He did it as our defensive coordinator. He’s done at his entire career. None of this means you have to like him, but keep perspective.

5/15 Zach was running for his life today. Arguably in some cases where he wasn’t under duress. But that’s what Belichick does. He shakes your foundation. Almost every bad decision that Zach made came when he was trying to save the day or dropped his fundamentals.

13/15 Everything will prove itself in time. It’s too early to tell whether Zack is as a quarterback of the future. But he got run all over the field, kicked in the teeth, and kept getting back up and throwing. That takes more courage than you realize.

3/15 Nearly every pain point of our team in the last 15 years come back to young quarterbacks being taken apart by Belichick. It’s what he does best. That’s not an excuse for poor quarterback play, but Bill creates an atmosphere in which a QB loses their horizon.

8/15 Also, NOTHINF bounced our way today. Sure there were terrible REF calls, but also turnovers, and it seemed like everything was going against us. Almost every team loses eventually. We just liked the taste of winning! This one hurt more because it’s the Patriots.

7/15 The defense played very hard all game and had high energy. After the half, Belichick got us on our heels w no huddle by not allowing us to sub players in and out that kept players out longer than normal, and they may not have been as conditioned for it.

11/15 For those who were complaining that Flacco had better numbers… compare them now. This was not our kind of game and we got out-coached. I know us Jets fans have PTSD, but let’s not take out our past trauma on another young QB.

9/15 We didn’t finish enough drives early on, and I think we have to get more creative with this new group that has to meld together. Zach is a very young player and this game just got out of hand quickly. I think he needed coaching to slow down. We were pressing too hard.
