13.5ft, over 1,000lbs, hammerhead this morning. We set out fully committed into finding the same hammer that was circling us yesterday and she was waiting. Tagged and released her healthy. Would’ve demolished our state record but love these fish too much to kill. @AftcoFishing

Meet Reese, a 10’ white shark we tagged this afternoon off HHI. We had this fish circling us on our last venture out about a week ago and we missed her. Fast forward to today and she was right on time and was waiting for us. We applied acoustic and psat tags and she bolted 🙏🏼

Caught and tagged her in February. She was was just bitten by another white shark in the area probably a few hours before we tagged her (pec fin). A couple hours later we tagged a 16 footer which was probably the suspect. After the release she hung around SC for a month.

10’8 Great White Shark that we tagged last Feb had her pop-off tag release. Her track was pretty interesting, as she came within a few hundred yards of a NC beach, but then ventured out 150 miles off VA and she b lined it to Canada where it looks like she prefers to be.

Tagged and released a 12 foot great white shark yesterday. She did a quick fly by around noon and grabbed both baits while our backs were turned, fought her on 2 rods. Applied some tags, gathered data, sent her off. Some day.

Saw a lot of commotion from a mile away yesterday. Sent the drone over and found the culprit, a Right whale and her calf. First time I’ve ever seen a calf. Scientists say there’s only about 300 left, lucky to witness.

12ft Great White Shark “Mallory” that we tagged two years ago checked in this morning off the beach just south of Boston. Named this shark after Mallory Beach that was killed in a boating accident in Beaufort. She should be prepping to head back south our way any day.

Record size hammerhead shark released out of respect

A pair of South Carolina anglers on Wednesday caught and released a hammerhead shark that was at least 400 pounds heavier than the longstanding state record, and perhaps rivaled the world record.

15ft, 2800lb, Great White Shark GRACE, had her pop-off tag release and wash up in Pensacola, FL. This is the furthest north I’ve had a white shark travel. Interesting how she completely skipped Cape Cod and went above Nova Scotia, yet came back and went all the way to Alabama.

10’8, Great White tagged/released yesterday off Hilton Head. She came up behind the boat, took the bait and snagged the line on a barnacle. Nearly lost her, but my crazy angler jumped in, swam under the boat and freed the line. We put a psat tag on & acoustic and called it a day

Last great white shark trip of the season and we went 1 for 2. Such an incredible fish. No enormous ones this winter, as I lost Jaws herself in January, but this is the first one in yrs where we raised one or tagged one every trip but one. All satellite tagged and released.

Great white shark that we tagged in March off South Carolina with @sharkweek filming had his psat tag release a couple of weeks ago. That’s 2 white sharks from South Carolina this yr that swam right by the Florida keys into the gulf to the same destination.

You kidding me? Just recaptured 12.5ft, 1,000lb @Harry_Ettasc for a 3rd time. I originally tagged her on a charter in 2013, then biologists put a spot tag on her a year later. We recaptured her on July 11 of this summer, then we got her again tonight. #3capture

12 yr anniversary of when my customer from TN caught a 12’ hammer and got a fiberglass replica. Once it arrived he and his wife realized it wouldn’t fit in through the door. Never heard from him again.

7 years ago today, satellite spot tagged the first tiger in SC. Learned that every tiger stays off HH in the warm months and ventures offshore in the winter, but always returns each yr. Very small percentage went to the Bahamas in the winter, most stayed relatively close to SC.

Throw back to last Feb when a camera guy was looking square at an 11ft white shark. They haven’t released the footage yet but it’s gonna be epic. We ended up landing this shark and gave it an array of tags. Named it Bob-O after a local captain that lost to Covid.
