Today, I’m just really grateful to be alive. I’m thankful that I wasn’t shot, I wasn’t raped, I wasn’t beaten, I wasn’t pushed out of the moving vehicle. I’m thankful that I’m hale, hearty and healthy enough to even give account of my ordeal.

Before my wedding, I had also never seen a bride wearing glasses. I thought it’ll be weird to use glasses on “the big day”. I went ahead to get contact lenses that were outrageously expensive (my prescription is really high).

After spending all that money (about 200k) I still ended up using the glasses and I wasn’t looking bad after all (atleast to the best of my knowledge). I said all that to say that you should go ahead to use your glasses on your wedding if you really want to.

I eventually couldn’t use the contact lenses cause it made me really teary and uncomfortable. I also had a cosmetic surgery done on my eye to hide a surgery scar I had done earlier however this also didn’t go well and I had to do another surgery to reverse it.
