#FursuitFriday
, something different! Some great art I got from
@RustyRuu
that perfectly captures exactly how I was feeling the first time I got to wear the bird at a convention 😄
I'm at MFF this weekend showing off the bird for the first time at a con! Come find me, say hi and get a hug, and if you take any pictures please send them my way!
For my combination 30th birthday and

After many years of trying,
@Ageaus
finally corrupted me. In celebration of Ape-ril meet my simian side, switching between ape or monkey depending on my mood.
This is the richest nation to ever exist yet we as a society choose daily to deny healthcare to and kill our fellow citizens so some evil bastards can buy another bottle of wine they won't ever drink.
Fuck the "uwu no politics people", you should be fucking furious about this.

imo the main issue with modern standby is you *might* get a week of standby, or your laptop might basically not go to sleep and drain the battery from 100 to 0 overnight, and there's no way to predict which one you'll get
@SwiftOnSecurity
👀
I had to jump through a ton of hoops when I replaced my laptop a few years ago to enable hibernate and disable modern standby so I'd actually have battery left when I pulled the laptop out a few days later, probably still rather have hibernate personally
Made the mistake of scrolling through my Telegram history tonight, seeing names of people I used to be friends with and now haven't talked to in years 😞
why's it gotta be so hard to stay in contact with people long term, never knowing when you might be talking for the last time
I've been having so much fun for the past year or so photographing this pair of hawks that live near my house, and today I finally managed to spot the nest and their 3 babies!
@NonnerBird
It definitely doesn't justify it, but this absolutely goes both ways. When covid was new and only ravaging cities, lots of rural people thought it was the funniest shit imaginable.
I know a lot of people consider squirrels pests, but I can't get over how cute they are.
This guy was hiding up in a tree in my backyard and patiently posed while I grabbed my camera to get a picture 😁
Relatively exciting bird walk the other day! 📷
Saw a couple Red-shouldered Hawks flying around and screaming, it seemed like a potential territory dispute or parents telling their previous batch of kids to move out!
The crows were extremely upset by the presence of the hawks😁
the weirdos are losing it y'all, who knew all it took to completely demolish years of Republican self-righteous smugness was to start talking about how creepy and weird they are

As if one piece of amazing new art today isn't enough, here's more ranger bird, this time by
@Ageaus
! He always does great art, but this one really knocks it out of the park!
Meet Penn Station’s Early Bird traveler, This Red Shouldered Hawk attempted to beat the holiday rush last night but missed the train.

ESU Detective Bucchignano safely captured the uninjured bird and sent it on its way.

A bunch of heckin' birds earlier tried stealing my baguette at MFF! (With help from
@GhostCabbit
no less.) I know birds like bread, but SHEESH!
(
@ChalurBurd
is one, I unfortunately do NOT know the other guilty birb.)

I set up BirdNET-Pi yesterday with a mic in my backyard, and I've already gotten so many great detections! If you've got a spare Raspberry Pi and can drop $20 on a mic and USB adapter, I highly recommend it!
