@linktwo_alt They’re often too close to the situation to truly feel the imagination and interpretation that held the series together. DSMP was built off of collective headcanon and fan works, it was never just a minecraft server, that was just then lens that we were allowed to see it.

Man, props to the IDW Sonic team for Imposter Syndrome. Especially the artists. the lineart is so expressive and the colors are vibrant but neither end up feeling too exaggerated. I didn't like Surge much when I saw her design but the story and art are definitely convincing me.

Sega didn’t rush Frontiers. Sonic Team was given a reasonable amount of time to complete the game, even a full extra year. Sonic is just a very complicated character to transition into an open world environment, and they had to spend a lot of time figuring out what worked.

@ManiacXVII I like Ian but... X predated Unleashed and the idea of Sonic being incorruptible. If he's incorruptible, Darkspine also makes no sense. Sonic should be a fallible character. Dark Sonic added a layer to him and has more narrative value than people give it credit for.
