Why is it the Chinese New Year and not the Lunar New Year?
As a traditional festival that has been handed down in China for thousands of years, it makes me feel disrespected that in recent years it has suddenly been forced to change its name to LNY
➠
#ChineseNewYear
is based on the Chinese lunisolar calendar, a traditional festival created by ourselves in line with the geographical location of China and the 24 solar terms
It is completely different from the Islamic lunar calendar, so calling it LNY is disrespectful to both
➠
China is the cultural origin of East Asia and neighboring countries such as Korea and Vietnam also celebrate
#ChineseNewYear
cuz we share our traditions with them, but they have no right to change the name.
We welcome all to celebrate CNY, but it should not be called LNY.
➠
According to the logic of LNY supporters, English is spoken not only by English people, so it must not be called English to be more inclusive. and you guys should stop calling the roman alphabet roman or latin, it's used by sabines and many other ethnicities too😉
🔚
Welcome to celebrate Chinese New Year🧨
If it’s true that u’ve been celebrating LNY since 2000-3000BC, may I ask what calendar u r basing it on?
Like I said, use our calendar pls respect our culture, u have no right to dictate to a festival that u’ve nothing to contribute to.🥰

The Chinese people make huāmó to eat at festive times. It’s available in a variety of styles and tasty.

During the Eastern Han Dynasty, women were popular in high buns and thick eyebrows.
This had a profound effect on the aesthetics of later generations, and high bun has since occupied an important place in history of Chinese women's fashion.
