This is my grandad, coming ashore the morning after D-Day. From the museum in Normandy. He also died 34 years ago today. He spent 7 years in the forces (unwillingly and probably not a hero) fighting Farage and Trump and VoteLeave and every cancer of nationalist hatred.

Don't bother sending me a letter, Boris. Put the 70p towards some protective equipment for a professional. Frankly I don't need your advice on how not to catch it. Nor your Health Secretary's. Nor even that of the Chief Medical Officer.

We need: Corbyn, Swinson, Blackford, Lucas, and maybe Grieve in a room this morning. Then we need them to announce they're supporting a unity Prime Minister: Beckett, Clarke, Harman, someone like that. Then a vote of no confidence. Johnson in exile and Revoke by nightfall.

@DominicRaab @SCCLeader After 10 years of Tories food banks are a necessary evil, and only a truly twisted mind could find anything to celebrate in them. Tories are an unnecessary evil. And it's time you resigned.

There are 1,500,000 NHS staff. The Tories are boasting on Tory TV that they have organised tests for 2,000. So they've only got 1,498,000 to test. Why did anyone vote Tory?

Does the Isle of Wight get some sort of prize for going from Tier 1 to Tier 4 in a fortnight?

@kirancmoodley @RCgothic @guardian When I stood for the Greens 3 weeks ago I was up against Tory and Labour and no one else. Someone wrote TRAITORS by both Tory and Labour candidates, and USELESS by my name. I failed to persuade the adjudicator that this was a positive, or less negative, vote for me.

Hello, @VodafoneUK You've had an email from me already and I'll speak to somebody as soon as I can. I'm a customer of many years, and my charity uses your services. You've got a week to remove your support for GB News, or we're leaving. And I won't be the only one.

@SaulStaniforth Presumably Richard was fully aware of the Yorkshire Ripper's plans before they were carried out? And the Great Train Robbery?
