Proud to announce my investment in
@CapswanApp
A very cool app for social accountability on market predictions.
I support
@alechp
and what he’s building and I’m excited to see what he does with this 🤝
We started Capswan to help separate signal from noise by:
- Elevating traders that win (regardless of stack size)
- Allowing traders to earn clout for calls
- Normalizing strike rate expectations (1 bad call doesn’t make a bad trader)
Why did we start Capswan?
We’ve all been around long enough to see how larps gain clout so they can use their following as exit liquidity. Meanwhile, there’s another portion of the community that tries acting in good faith and still gets flack for going against the grain.
Where are we headed?
Starting early July, we will be announcing a competitor league where you can compete against others, win prizes and earn clout. More details to come soon!
The quotation mark issue is resolved in v5.9.1. Screenshot below shows it decoding correctly in the new version
v5.9.1 has been published to the Chrome store and should be live later today, here:
@punisherrrr333
There's an issue (highlighted) with the quotation mark there. Instead of using U+0022 (standard quotation mark), U+201D (right-double quotation mark) was used.
Fortunately, we have an open issue to address this. If you run into any other problems, please send them our way!
Groups have been around for a while; they allow you to make predictions & share them with a group
We updated groups so now you can:
- Customize group photos
- Easily choose your top 3 groups with the new drag-and-drop table
- Show off your top-3 groups on both Twitter & Capswan
Did you know you can use the Capswan Chrome extension on Android?
✅ Swan Banner
✅ SocialFi Toolbar (FriendTech, Arena, Capswan)
✅ Subnav (Predictions, Polls, Groups, Attributions & X-Stamps)

If you have any questions about how Chrome extension permissions work, here's a handy 2 minute walkthrough
The video will show you how to identify and control extension access (this works for any Chrome extension, not just Capswan)
Yes, even as the founder, I agree this is a fair criticism from
@Ambedo_Bass
; Chrome extensions allow a lot of access and it's wise to be cautious
To go into more technical detail, let's talk about what Capswan can access
1. Permissions: ["storage"] (this is used to cache local
Capswan (signup, predictions, polls, watchlist, backtesting) works on both Twitter and Discord
Simply DM

with "cs signup" like below to get started. Alternatively, you can simply go to to get started
Capswan's new Chrome extension release (v3.0.1) is available for download here:
TLDR: Tip and Follow buttons now support inline modals (ie. you don't need to leave Twitter)
Video demo here:
We heard from some users that the amount of information being displayed on profiles was too much
v3.3.0 of the Chrome extension fixes that by streamlining SocialFi information on users' profiles

Capswan product updates 💡
1. Tweets and DM support is restored. Due to new Twitter rate limits, responses are rather slow. Here's an example of it working:
We will add support for $pups and $bet this week 👨🍳
Also some context on “watch” vs “predict”:
- the “watch” command is used to add others’ predictions to your watchlist (eg. you see a tweet and want to save it for later)
- the “predict” command is used for predictions you make
Thanks nerd. I'll take it from here
High-level update: for the past few years, Capswan has been focused on building a platform almost exclusively catering to content creators (ie. people who make predictions, post polls, etc)
In 2024, Capswan is becoming more consumer friendly.
Low-level

update for the tech nerds (please don't read unless you know how to exit vim):
When you use Capswan, there are over 30 services working in conjunction. This has been a labor of love from 2019 til now
As we grow & accrue new users, some parts of Capswan

You could reach out to our team and we could “fix the underlying problem”(boy that sounds like a real drag)
Or you could simply bully the bot. Which of those sounds like more fun to you?
Someone asked about X-Stamps status in the Capswan Discord. Wanted to give an update
We're full-steam ahead. Currently preparing to launch our new Dashboard
How will this benefit X-Stamps users?

What is Capswan?
Usually what you'll hear is "🧢🦢 makes it easy for you to track predictions". That is true.
However, slightly more nuanced answer would be: 🧢🦢 is building an easy way for you to separate signal (good data) from noise (worthless data) wherever financial ideas
