Henrik isn’t just a Celtic great because he was a phenomenal footballer. He’s a Celtic great because he loves the fans as much as we love him. He’s the purest example of knowing what this club means as a supporter, even though he never grew up with it.

This won’t go down well with a section of the support. I’ve been in the stadium when he was booed unfurling a league flag. My opinion is this. Fergus saved our club. Unequivocally. He’s on a par with any of the greatest ever Celts you could name.

I’ve been a vocal critic of Daizen Maeda over the years - sometimes excessively so, sometimes with merit. Yesterday’s performance from him was simply outstanding. A golden example of everything good he can bring.

Man, I’m the one who gets the flack for being negative. I can’t believe the response to Schmeichel. Yes, he’ll be 38 soon but, having just watched him at the Euros, he still seems to be pretty near the top of his game. I think he’d be an excellent signing for a couple of years.

When Joe Hart signed, I had reservations about it based on preconceived ideas I had about him. He has totally proved me wrong. A model professional who has embraced everything about Celtic and been a crucial part of our success since his arrival. Happy retirement Joe 🍀

The return of the King today made me reminisce. I was 10 when he joined and 17 when he left. I was fortunate to spend my formative years as a Celtic supporter and person watching a true all-time great. I’ll never see a better player in the Hoops than Henrik Larsson. 🍀🇸🇪

I’m not being contrary for the sake of it. I don’t want him back. He would likely require higher wages than he left us on having been on an inflated pay packet at Arsenal and we absolutely would not get our money’s worth given how much time he spends injured.
