One of the rawest interviews Iโve ever seen from Brad Gushue. Tears in his eyes.
Watch the whole thing. When he goes to the virtual family screen.
And breaks down when he sees his family. At 1:35 mark.
He wanted it so bad for family and country.
The Ross Harstone Sportsmanship award means a lot to me. This Brier has been an incredible experience through a difficult time in my life. The other players in the event are so kind but also fierce competitors. I appreciate all of them am so honoured.

TAKE A BOW COLIN HODGSON
His last time leaving the Brier ice after announcing his retirement from the four-person game. Curled 100% today.
Heโs provided us all so many memorable moments and made a difference on and off the ice. Congratulations

I'm not thinking about retiring and in even better news, my quad is recovering well, sans Covid, and I'll be back in Toronto curling at the
@Sportsnet
Players Championship!Woo! Thanks for those concerned messages everyone ๐
Thank you to all of the teams at the Women's World Curling Championships for going through what you had to for your country, for your fans, your family, friends and the masses. The uncertainty is not easy. The isolation is not easy. You nailed it and I appreciate your efforts.
The curling world lost one of the all time greats. Thomas Ulsrud is one of the kindest and most engaging people I've ever met. Rest peacefully brother. You'll be missed and remembered forever. ๐
Every team is wearing
@DynastyCurling
for this draw! Pretty cool to see after 8+ years of building the company! Thanks to everyone for the support. New cool things on the horizon for the company too!
For all y'all who have to make tough decisions in your life today. You aren't alone and lots of others are struggling to do the same. You will endure and it's okay to get help with it.
An amazing and classy message by
@KEinarson
. That moment was a powerful one for me and anyone who knows
@BryanMudryk
realizes he would never try to take away anything from them. He is such a great guy and we are so lucky to have him in our sport.
We have noticed some negative comments about
@BryanMudryk
asking Kerri about the passing of her brother following the game.
Please take a minute to hear from
@KEinarson
regarding the situation.

What
@TeamZacharias
just did was an incredible display of sportsmanship. Not removing the stone when they had the opportunity to which would have benefited them greatly. I respect that so much. PURE CLASS and an amazing example for everyone.
Bronze medal for
@EinarsonTeam
and our teammate
@Reidarama
. Congrats on a very hard fought result. Tough field! Congrats to all of the teams for competing fierce. ๐
Going to my first Scotties! Thanks for allowing me to help you play well
@TeamCareyCurl
. I will bring my cooking gear...make sure we have a kitchenette!
Letโs play a game of โI bet our coach is cooler than yours.โ ๐

So grateful for the opportunity to have Future Stars alongside us at the Trials. This was me when I was younger and ready to take on the world. Good luck my friend!
I've played my entire career against
@gwalker71
and looked up to him a lot. One of the hardest guys to play against but also one of the most fun. Classy and kind as a junior and in men's play. He could have played any position, yet excelled at lead. A great example for future ๐
Cheering on my guys in Calgary. So grateful for their support to do what is best for me. They're bringing it 3 handed. Incredible stuff.

Team Gushue calmly confronting the man, who is barking at Gushue from over the boards while Brad is trying to deliver his rocks, and asking officials for removal.

Sport brings us together. Borders divide us. This is how I feel about Olympic debates about countries performances. There are a lot of great people from all over the world creating incredible entertainment for us all. I applaud you all for putting everything out there for us ๐
Devastating news for the curling community. My heart goes out to Judy and the whole family. Hans light will shine through everyone who knew his passion and his beautiful soul. Will miss travelling all over with you.
This is freaking unbelievable!
@yklindsay
...what a wonderful gift. I had no idea this was actually possible. So many personal things knit into this. I am so grateful.
Brittnie and I are happy to have arrived back home to our lovely cats after our amazing wedding in Scotland. We wanted to say thank you again to all of our friends and family for all their love and support over the years. 1/
Made it to Selkirk for the Viterra Men's Provincial Championship. Thanks to
@curlmanitoba
for all of the hard work setting this all up under difficult circumstances. Ice looks great and ready to enjoy some curling!
Thinking of all the folks that don't get to spend the Holidays with family members. Whether it's work, duty, the pandemic, any reason under the sun. You aren't alone. Reach out if you need help. Let's all be there for each other, we don't know what our neighbors go through. โค
ATTENTION CURLERS: Please support businesses who have supported you in the past to ensure we all can make it through this Pandemic whole. This is about our whole sport & not just personal allegiances. Local curling stores, direct from manufacturers, etc. They all need your help.
Make sure to remember AFTER the Olympics how many people are saying to support women's sports. More funding, more sponsorship/ corporate partnerships. Women's sports are clearly something people get behind. Extend it after this specific spotlight is gone.
This was emotional for me today and heartwarming. A perfect way to end a tough week. I'm grateful to have met a lot of great humans today that I look forward to seeing for years to come.

Timing a pregnancy can be stressful and difficult for a lot of women athletes. A rule that discriminates against some women competing in the same national field is troubling. Please give everyone the same opportunity

This was the first time I had the pleasure of meeting
@teambirt
skipper Suzanne. Not gonna lie, 12 year old me had a biiiiiiig crush. So grateful for the many amazing ambassadors of our sport. We all can play a big part in someone's future by being kind. โค still have that broom.
Its incredible how many people have reached out since I posted this. Especially people from my past that I didn't expect with struggles of their own & understanding. I appreciate the messages and want to advocate how common this all is. Being you is okay. Lets support each other

I want to make it clear that the officials at national events are volunteers (except for one from my understanding) and spend a lot of their time every year to help create a fair environment. They are wonderful to work with and fulfill their duties to the best of their abilities.

Are you also Canadian or just Metis? So disgusting when the curlers won the opportunity to go to the Olympics and they were draped in indigenous blankets with indigenous drummers. Have you always been Metis or did you jump on the bandwagon.
I'm gonna go ahead and say I feel it's pretty unlikely we will see curling on tv with where it's at. But hey, I could be wrong. I just wanna see people get back to their families.
Sometimes we struggle. I have been for a while. With incredible support it makes a world of difference. I will be okay but if anyone else is right now, you aren't alone. Endure.
A lot of great memories reflecting on the last 20 years of competitive curling. This was one of the very best. A great way to go out. Thank you.

Wonderful to spend some time with the teams today at the

World Junior Qualifiers. Winning and losing are such fine margins. The passion I saw in the finals today was phenomenal. This is the start of many wonderful things to come in life from these athletes. ๐

For all you moms out there: Us guys try to put up a strong exterior often times & mostly it's a farce. You are the real strength. You go through so much shit. You teach us how to be kind, how to love, how to be strong. We all celebrate you as integral parts of our lives today. โค

The thing that is not normal is that you believe you should determine what people should wear or not wear. Clothing can be an amazing expression and a beautiful thing.

Thunder Bay bound and off to the first curling event of the season in Oakville. It's been a while, excitement in every aspect of the word both good and bad. This past couple years has been a lot for us all. Here along this journey with you all.
I'm very much looking forward to curling in the coming months for those people who will gain some happiness from being able to be invested once again. Our sport can be niche and I'm looking forward to hearing from people about what it means to them.
