My next video is about the infamous Spider-Man Broadway Musical. Here is Spidey leaping to save MJ and his harness snapped, sending him plummeting over a story into the orchestra pit.
This kid in Iron Man 3 should’ve been replaced by Riri Williams.
Imagine this being a young girl who helps out Tony Stark and by the end of it she’s inspired to be just like him. Then we don’t see her until she’s grown up and attending M.I.T. in Wakanda Forever.
The Atom Eve special on Prime is great but I do think it’s an oversight not to credit the comics writer, Benito Cereno. Some dialogue is literally the same.
Two examples of single pages that distill the main character and show a heroism beyond punching someone. All-Star Superman by Morrison/Quitely and Marvel Comics 1000 by Meltzer/Tedesco.
In 1988, DC had 54 artists draw this mural for their NY offices. It’s gone now but I’m glad I saw it in person. The late Ramona Fradon on Metamorpho. Kirby on Darkseid. Swan on Superman. Pérez, Kane, Steranko, Adams, Starlin, Aparo, Sienkiewicz, Chaykin, Gibbons, many more!
Wow. What an epic way to go out. I’ll miss Keith Giffen’s unique voice. This was his final post to Facebook today, posted with his wishes for it to be his final words to the community.
Around 2003 in Chile, when the original trilogy of Star Wars began airing on television there, they did this funny thing to avoid cutting to commercial breaks. They stitched the commercials into the films themselves. Here is one of them, with the English dub added in.
Christian Cooper, the birdwatcher who dealt with a Karen calling 911 on him, got a National Geographic show about birding and he just won an Emmy. He wrote comics and has introduced a number of LGBTQ characters. He was an associate editor on Alpha Flight when Northstar came out.
DC's most iconic stories—portable and only $9.99! The first six DC Compact Comics are available now, with more titles to come through October and beyond.
I’m surprised and sad to hear this. We had very different channels but we both loved comics and Benny was nice to me every time I saw him. My sincere condolences to his family.
Two days ago, on June 8th, my husband, Ben Potter, passed away in an unfortunate accident.
To many of you, he was Comicstorian, voicing stories from across multiple different mediums. To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most supportive individuals anyone could ask for.
I’m already embarrassed to be seeing the movie but since I’m the only one seeing it, I had to find an usher and ask them to actually start playing the movie. Dude must think I’m a hardcore Morbius fan.
Adi Granov called out Francesco Mattina for using AI on this upcoming Actiom Comics 1069 variant cover. Why is DC giving someone pay for this? The prompter couldn’t even be troubled to use PhotoShop to correct the completely wrong Superman logo!
The seditionists that invaded the Capitol today wore a Punisher logo. I say
@marvel
needs to either aggressively enforce their trademark so it isn’t printed everywhere or abandon the Punisher completely. You can’t allow your characters to be used by terrorists.
1948’s Superman serial has Clark’s father telling him “with great power… comes great responsibility.” A common enough concept but interesting to see it in superhero media over a decade before Spidey shows up.
Funko kept too much inventory and are trashing over $30 million of their inventory to help with warehouse fulfillment costs. In their latest company update they admitted they only have about $20 million in liquid assets and $250 million in debt. Do you get these things?
Bill Sienkiewicz made his name on
#MoonKnight
and there’s a great deep pull referencing his work in the
#MoonKnightTrailer
. The song used is a remix of Day n Nite. That’s from Kid Cudi’s album Man on the Moon: The End of Day. Sienkiewicz painted the album cover.
Farewell to artist Hector Garrido who passed away in his sleep on the 19th. While not a comic book artist, he did illustrate the card art for many GI Joe figures that a lot of us grew up with.
With Sony/Marvel Knull money, presumably Donny will be able to buy a second super yacht. It’s great how the studios and publishers reward the creators of the ideas that make them so successful.
Wow. Just wow. Season 3 of Pennyworth (the origin of Batman’s butler) will have a crossover with V for Vendetta. DC continues to disrespect Alan Moore. This sounds ridiculous.
This photo comes from September 1966’s Tricon and was taken by Jay Kay Klein. Spidey has only been around 4 years. I think it’s cool to see what a fan could make at home at that time.
Holy… I’m stunned. Akira Toriyama has passed. Obviously his Dragonball manga and anime is massively popular worldwide but I’m a fan of the art in Dr. Slump. He’s been in the news and was still working. Only 68 years old. Wow.
John Cassaday was a genius. Looooove Planetary. And so much more. I know he will be missed by so many. We’re lucky to have so much beautiful art and stories from him.
I don’t think it’s a bad power. And let’s just take a moment to marvel at the director of Echo using “lame” as a pejorative on a show starring an actor with a prosthetic leg.
'ECHO' Director Sydney Freeland teased the Marvel hero will have different powers in the series than the comics.
“Her power in the comic books is that she can copy anything, any movement, any whatever. It’s kind of lame. I will say, that is not her power.”

Why do comics readers remember Hank Pym hitting Wasp but overlook or forget that Peter Parker and Reed Richards have done the same? I think all are poor writing but it’s so odd that only one is remembered so well.
