This driver was going 64 km/h in a 100 zone on the Ring Road. The road surface was clear & dry. The driver was stopped to determine why. The result - the driver was ticketed for impeding traffic.
@reginapolice
The bus driver was not only speeding (123 in 100) but was not wearing glasses or contacts while driving as required by the restriction on his/her driver's license. There were 47 passengers on the bus at the time. We expect more of professional drivers.
@reginapolice
CTSS members did a checkstop last night in Regina. 101 drivers were stopped & provided breath samples, and I am very happy to report everyone passed. There were two uninsured vehicle tickets issued, but no impaired drivers! 👍👊🚔

@reginapolice
This driver was stopped for going abnormally slow on Ring Road - this CAN be a sign of impairment. That wasn't the case this time, & a warning was issued for driving too slow on Ring Road. If you don't feel comfortable at higher speeds, take a different route.
@reginapolice
This driver slowed down to 70km in a 110km when they saw our cruiser parked with no lights on, causing everyone else to slam on their brakes around them on the highway. Driver found to be an European overstay in Canada, arrested under immigration act and handed off to CBSA.
This driver was stopped for displaying an unreadable license plate. The driver had a new plate in the vehicle, but the screws were too rusted out & she couldn't loosen them. The CTSS member put the new plate on for the driver. No tickets issued.
@reginapolice
This truck was going to be pulled over because the permit expired, however it took forever to stop because it had no brakes and had to come to stop on its own...so ridiculously dangerous....spoiler alert it's no longer on the road, impounded...
@reginapolice
@SGItweets
Driver from Ontario, in a rental, "I am not used to this car, I was just testing it." Our officer, "I am also just testing....your reaction to your $850+ fine".....
@reginapolice
This acct has never been about me, but this post is. The guy you see here started policing in 1998 and is finishing in 2024 in just a few days. This account will be taken over by a very capable replacement. I'll let him introduce himself on his own 😊 (1 of 3)
CTSS members found this cute little floof ball wandering on his own little adventure. He was a little far from home, so they scooped him up, checked his collar, did some asking around & found his family. So cute!🥰
@reginapolice
⚠️This driver was reported to us by the public. In and out of the lane and almost hit an oncoming vehicle on Highway 46. The driver was arrested for impaired driving.
@reginapolice
CTSS members stopped a car last night due to an
#ALPR
hit for an expired plate. As the CTSS member was stopping behind the car, he observed the driver & passenger switch seats (bad idea). Member approaches the pass side & ask 4 ID for both occupants.
@reginapolice
CONT'D...
This driver was stopped for 138 in a 100 zone. That ticket was $554. Buuuuut....the driver also had SIX active suspensions in effect. 🫣 Driving while suspended means a mandatory court appearance & the car leaves on a tow truck. 30 day impound.
@reginapolice
⚠️186 km/h (had been well over 200 initially) in a 100 zone will cost this motorcycle rider $1201 and a loss of the bike for 7 days.🤦♂️
#smh
@reginapolice
This driver was going 196 km/h on Hwy 1 (110 zone). Locked him at 151, but I got him going 196. The vehicle was impounded for 7 days & the fine is $1201 for exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 Km/h. It's also -4 demerit points.
@reginapolice
This driver was initially stopped for speeding. The stop turned into a whole lot more. Suspended learner's license, vehicle impound due to the suspended DL, the vehicle's windshield was shattered, & the driver had 3 warrants.

@reginapolice
⚠️🚨Taffic stop leads to...well...this. Obviously, there's much more to this that's not going to fit in 280 characters. Heck of a way for the crew to start a Saturday morning. Details to follow later 👇
@reginapolice
That's about $12,700 in cash. Started out as a stop by Sask Highway Patrol & Regina Police CTSS for 150 in a 110. It ended with 5 people under arrest & also involved Moose Jaw police CTSS, Moose Jaw RCMP, & CBSA officers. Some of the arrested people will likely be deported. 1/2
It's the 4th time this driver has been stopped by CTSS since last year. This go around is for cellphone use. As this driver has a conviction for that offense on record, the fine is $1400 this time & the vehicle is being impounded.
#hangupanddrive
@reginapolice
This driver was stopped for disobeying a red light. Driver is prohibited from driving Canada wide & had a warrant for a previous traffic offence. He’s also on the impound list, so the veh was impounded for 30 days minimum. So both car & driver are off to jail.
@reginapolice
*Sigh*.... I'll give you 3 guesses as to why CTSS stopped this vehicle tonight...
Needless to say, buddy has a new pair of bracelets on that you never want to have to wear. Thankfully, CTSS got him before he hurt himself or anyone else.
#offtojail
@reginapolice
This driver passed 4 emergency vehicles roadside (1 motorcycle, 2 fully marked police SUVs, & 1 unmarked police SUV - all with their emergency lights in operation on a stop. He was going 110 Km/h instead of the required 60 km/h. $798
@reginapolice
🚧This truck & trailer was stopped because the driver (class 1) was using a cell phone while driving. Also found during the stop: 1 vehicle not strapped down AT ALL, no plate on trailer, full size tire/rim laying loose on the trailer deck, & the driver's license was suspended. 🤦
⚠️Please don't do this.⚠️
This vehicle was stopped for speeding on hwy 1. The driver pulled over to the left 🚫 Two tickets issued. One for speed, one for failure to pull to the right when approached by an emergency vehicle.
@reginapolice
113 when passing an emergency vehicle will cost this driver $836. Remember to slow to 60 when passing an emergency vehicle/service vehicle/tow truck with their lights on.
@reginapolice
..get hit by a car if he doesn't. He gets to chatting with the lady who lives there. She recently lost her husband. He said she was "super happy to talk to another human" so he chatted with her for a while. I'm proud of my crew, they're great people.

@reginapolice
While the tow truck was picking up the last impounded vehicle, this commercial vehicle operator passed at 94 with the tow truck driver out of his veh. $522 for passing at more than 60 km/h. No excuses for professional drivers not knowing the rules.
@reginapolice
This driver was using his cellphone while driving by one of our motorcycle operators. That's a $580 fine & if caught again it'll be $1400 + a vehicle impound.
@reginapolice
This driver was stopped by one of our motorcycle operators for not wearing a seatbelt ($175). Turns out the driver has a suspended license (ticket w/mandatory court appearance req'd) & is on the impound list. Vehicle is gone for 30 days minimum.
@reginapolice
This driver decided that 132 km/h in a max 100 zone was appropriate for a snow packed icy hwy....😳🫣❌ Not only a risk to himself & his passengers; but to anyone in the oncoming lane if he lost control, would likely be fatal.
#SMH
@reginapolice
This truck was stopped because the driver was using a cellphone while driving 🚫. Turns out the driver also currently has a suspended license.

@reginapolice
This vehicle was stopped for a routine DL & reg check. Turns out the driver's learners license has been expired since May of 2022. He also had no supervising driver (as required by the fact that he's a learner) & to top it off, he also had 2 warrants.

So this may be my cutest back seat passenger ever! I was driving down hwy 18 paralleling the USA border by Big Beaver & this little fawn comes trotting out of the ditch as I slow down. It sees my car approach & lays down in the middle of the hwy, & curls into a ball...cont'd
This driver was stopped by a CTSS member who has stopped him before for being on his cellphone. He was again today, and this time the fine was $1400 & the vehicle was impounded.

Stopped this truck due to a burned out light. Passenger lies about his name. Once arrested, it's revealed that he has 13 warrants, including sexual interference, sexual assault & multiple others from various jurisdictions.
@reginapolice
This driver was stopped for speeding. Turns out the plate on the car was expired by a few months. The driver was also wanted. 2 tickets and a trip to jail was the result. 🚔🚨
@reginapolice
⚠️This driver was stopped for going 152 in a 100. That resulted in a $820 fine & the vehicle left on a tow truck as it will be impounded for 7 days. ⚠️ 🤦👎
@reginapolice
This driver was stopped for 124 in a 100. Turns out, the driver had an outstanding warrant & was arrested.

Running late for a kids activity. The driver's license is also expired. $570 for exceeding by more than 35 (150 in a 110) & $150 for driving with an expired license. Nice Saskatchewan sunset though. 🤷
@reginapolice
This truck was stopped for some erratic driving by a sharp-eyed CTSS member. Roadside screening device test done which she failed. She was arrested & taken in for a breath test. BAC was determined to be 160mg% or 0.16 which is double the legal limit.
@reginapolice
This sweet good boi was found wandering on Hwy 10 near Lorelie by an RPS CTSS member. We are taking him to the Regina Humane Society. Please retweet so we can find his owner!

⚠️ This driver was stopped for going 148 in a 70 (13th & Lewvan). 👀🚔 That makes for a $1112 ticket for exceeding by more than 50 Km/h & the vehicle is impounded for 7 days. There's no excuse for speeds like that.
@reginapolice
⚠️ Hey well looky there! ⚠️
I'm not into popularity contests - but I do want to humbly say thanks for your interest in what the CTSS crew does out there. 👍🥳🚔👮♂️👮♀️
@reginapolice
Last night, this driver was stopped for 160 in a 110 = $798.00, found to be a suspended driver. Also provided a breath sample between 0.04 and 0.08 which added yet another license suspension. The vehicle was impounded.
Not the kind of hat trick you want to get. 🫥
@reginapolice
This is one for the record books. Last time this driver had a valid license was all the way back in 1980. The driver was the lone occupant in the vehicle.
@reginapolice
This novice driver was stopped by one of our motorcycle operators for going 100 km/hr in a 50 zone = $798. There were also 2 passengers in the car, novices can only have 1 who is not family. That means another $150 fine for failure to obey license restriction.
@reginapolice
🥰(no pic for obvious reasons)🥰
Have to tell you about a text I just got from a CTSS member. He did a stop on a 2 lane hwy near the City. While on the stop, a dog wanders out to say hi from a nearby farm. After the stop, the member takes dog back to the farm as he fears it may..
This driver is facing a $798 fine for exceeding by more than 35 km/h, 120 in a 70 zone. That's 50 km/h over the limit & only 1 km/h away from losing the car to impound.
@reginapolice
This driver was stopped for going 116 past an emergency vehicle on a traffic stop ($865), the vehicle was unregistered/uninsured ($580), the driver was suspended (court) & the vehicle had a severely damaged windshield ($115). The vehicle was impounded.
@reginapolice
This driver was stopped for going 107 when passing a stopped emergency vehicle with its lights activated - driver's are supposed to slow to 60 = $764. If the police/fire/ambulance or tow truck is stopped & the lights are NOT active there's no need to slow to 60.
@reginapolice
🚨Passing a stopped emergency veh with its lights in operation at 109 instead of 60 km/h earned this driver a $899 ticket. Could have also been a 7 day impound for exceeding by more than 50 km/h. As the driver was not from Sask the CTSS member chose not impound it.
@reginapolice
K, I double checked this one ..😬 no math mistakes I promise. Exceed 60 when passing an emergency vehicle with 🚨 in operation. $809
#slowto60
@reginapolice
This driver was stopped for distracted driving (cell phone use). It was the driver's second charge, so the fine was $1400 and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

This vehicle was clocked at 167 initially in a 110. When the CTSS member got it stopped, it was smoking from being pushed so hard for a long period.🔥 The driver was late & was obviously speeding excessively for an extended time. $876 & the vehicle was impounded.
@reginapolice
Talk about the highlight of the week! Stopping for a quick break and get handed a little note. What an awesome surprise for the crew! 🥰
@reginapolice
#thankyou
While this vehicle was initially stopped for a traffic violation, we are now working with CBSA as the person may be in Canada illegally.
#teamwork
You never know what you will get into on these stops.
@reginapolice
This driver was stopped by a CTSS moto operator 4 cellphone. Driver lied about their name & failed to produce a license. Turned out to suspended and impoundable.
✅ Cell phone ticket
✅ Suspended driver ticket
✅ 30 day vehicle impound
✅ Written warning for lying
@reginapolice
This driver was on radar at 150 by one CTSS vehicle, then 146 and 144 by the other as he passed them going the opposite direction in a 100 zone. That'll cost almost $750 for exceeding by more than 35. 🫣
So this driver was tailgating on a highway, when pulled over, they were found to be suspended x 2, had TSA warrants and a terrible driver abstract....car is exactly where it needs to be right now....in the impound lot

No idea why people continue to risk it cruising along at 150+ on our highways. This driver was issued a ticket with a $742 fine for exceeding by more than 35 km/h. I don't know about you, but I can think of lots of better uses for $742 these days.

⚠️This driver was stopped for speeds ranging from 167 - 173 on Hwy 1; that makes for a $944 fine & the vehicle is impounded for 7 days for exceeding the limit by more than 50 km/h. 🚔 Hitting a deer at that speed could be fatal for the vehicle occupants. 🚑

@reginapolice
📵This driver was stopped for using a cellphone while driving ($580). The CTSS moto operator determined the driver did not have a license ($150). Driver had a previous ticket for driving w/o a license & was on the impound list - veh was impounded for 30 days.
@reginapolice
This driver was stopped for hauling this skid steer loader without a single chain or strap holding it to the trailer - a flatbed trailer no less. 🤦♂️ Hope and gravity is NOT how u secure cargo. This is dangerous to everyone else on the road.
@reginapolice
This truck was stopped for side window tint. Driver has no license as it is suspended. CTSS member suspects impairment. Breath test done = warning (under 0.05) & tested positive for THC, to top it off, there was also open liquor in the vehicle. 💸👎
@reginapolice
This novice driver was stopped for going 32 km over the 80 limit. He also had 2 passengers when he's only allowed 1 as a novice 1 driver. $288 for speeding + $150 for failure to obey the novice lic restrictions. One friend gets a ride into town in a police car.
