I recently met Mama Nour in Port #Sudan , a #Sudanese woman, who has shown tenacity, resilience & community spirit amid the harrowing brunt of the war. As a leader of an NGO, she has been at the forefront of helping single mothers & orphans marginalized by society.

Sudan has now hit the 7⃣-month mark since conflict broke out in April, making #Sudan one of the worst humanitarian crises in recent history. It is the largest displacement and child displacement crisis in the world. Sudanese people deserve peace.

I had the chance to listen to the concerns of displaced women at Al Shahinat gathering site during a visit with the Emergency Directors Group. Sudan is now one of the worst humanitarian catastrophes in recent memory. Let's not forget Sudan. The Sudanese have suffered enough.

Another day of violence in Sudan brings another human tragedy in Darfur’s El Fasher. This time, the person who won’t be going home to their family was a pharmacist. Died when an explosive artillery hit the corner of the hospital where she worked. 1/2

While we appreciate the efforts of the Ethiopian government to address the humanitarian situation in Tigray, we are very worried about the safety and well-being of Eritrean refugees. It is vital they can move to safe locations and receive protection, including outside of Tigray

I met with HE Ambassador Ali bin Hassan of Saudi Arabia in Port Sudan on 17 Sept. We both called for a long-term ceasefire in #Sudan where fighting has raged since April, to allow humanitarian agencies to deliver urgent life-saving aid to people in desperate need of help.

Bureaucratic impediments should not prevent humanitarian workers from delivering critical humanitarian assistance to people in need. I urge the parties to provide save passages and access to reach the people of #Sudan !
