Today was the annual Fishing with Cops event. Kids from Cleveland and police officers from the area fished in Burton. Cops and kids caught fish, had fun, ate together and shared a rare summer appearance from Santa.

The City of Cleveland Department of Public Works has extended the hours of several recreation centers to serve as cooling centers for Cleveland residents that are seeking shelter this week (6/17-6/21) of 90-degree-plus temperatures.

Police Memorial Parade is heavy with symbolism- the rider less horse, mounted with a black blanket, empty saddle with boots placed backward in the stirrups. The rider less horse symbolizes a final ride of a fallen officer, looking back at fellow officers & family, one last time.
