Best news of my night is that my latest cancer scan shows that I have no cancer activity! The new tumors, nodules, & spread to bone from Nov are now completely gone. The original sites show no cancer. Also no new cancer detected at all 🙌
Big thanks to everyone at
@SJEarthquakes
for their kindness and support this year through my cancer diagnosis, treatment, and now progression. I’m very grateful for the check ins and words of encouragement. And thank you for the special gift of today.

Thanks fam. I’ll be thinking of you all during chemo and radiation next week. It makes the thought of going through therapy alone (thx Covid19) a lot less daunting.

Please send your love & support to the leader of The Faultline, president of
@AOSanJose
, devotion scarf winner & longtime season ticket holder Crystal Cuadra-Cutler who starts chemotherapy this week after being diagnosed with lung cancer.
You have an entire club behind you. ❤️
Haters, sorry (not sorry) to report I will be here a little longer.
For the rest of you, my scan result was good news. My lung cancer remains stable. As always, some things to monitor, but next scan will be during the holidays.
Lung cancer update- new pet scan shows things are stable. Primary tumor may be larger but could be treatment/inflammation. No diagnostics needed. No cancer anywhere. Next scan in 2 months. Misc other tests next week. All in all, pretty good.
Despite everything that was going well yesterday, I had some bro come up at halftime and mansplain. He suggested that he could teach me more chants and get on the stand and show me how to do it. Bro, I’ve been doing this 10+ years and that wasn’t even my biggest ever game. 😒
Latest cancer scan is good news. Things remain stable, with no evidence of disease. Still have to have a brain MRI in a couple weeks. Next scan is in 2-3 months. Meds continue as usual.
✅30 radiation sessions ✅ primary treatments for
#lungcancer
done! Immunotherapy starts late June, and my first post treatment scan will be in August. Thank you all for the support during this difficult journey.
#cancersucks
Through thick and thin, she has faithfully been by our side.
Even while fighting cancer,
@CCuadra8
continues to be the best fan any team could ever ask for.
We love you, Crystal. 🖤💙
Chemo is done! 7 sessions completed. Still have one more radiation session, and then about a month wait and starting immunotherapy.

Only thing that was great today was
@AleBedoya17
coming to our section to meet Alex who made this banner for tonight. Thank you for your words and actions Ale.
Saturday’s siren ringer was our President, Crystal. On Monday, she celebrated 3 years of being a lung cancer survivor. As a stage 4 patient, she is on treatment for life, sometimes having infusions on game day.
We’ll be thinking of you this week as you have your scans. 💙🖤
This week I had another routine cancer scan. I remain stable with no evidence of disease and some treatment related damage to my lung. Now that this stress is over for now, it’s time to
#BeatLA
.
Thanks all for the love. Thanks again Quakes for inviting me to practice and for
@tcmogan
and
@RaiderQuake74
for coming w/me. And for those worried about maskless Wondo& Shea: photo is the only time they were this close. Only stood together for photo and then distanced.
I was the section capo today for 75+ mins today. I have basically 1.5 lungs and fight cancer side effects every day. Apparently, using my whole soul to try to get the North End going to support this team isn’t enough. I’m over it.
Got 1st CT scan results and the tumor & effected lymph nodes have decreased in size and there no evidence of new spread. Next scan will be in August, and they’ll be looking for no evidence of disease. I’m still battling radiation side effects, but they’re slowly resolving.
It’s quarterly cancer scan day for me today. Surprisingly, my results came in quickly. I remain stable and the previous area of concern isn’t showing anything worrying. Next scan in 3 months.
Low key I don’t think people realize how exciting it is for me that I’m going to be able to get the Covid vaccine. My risk level is ridiculous. If I got Covid, if I didn’t die, I could end up unable to continue cancer treatment, which would hasten my death. This is life changing.
It’s my cancerversay! One year ago today I got the call that changed it all. Never put off going to the doctors, and always advocate for yourself. It’s been a hell of a ride, but I’m still here! Stage 4 lung cancer, but no evidence of cancer.
Last night I started my new lung cancer treatment for stage 4 cancer. It is not a cure. It will delay further progression. Hoping to live w/cancer as chronic illness long enough for new meds or a cure. Reminder: You only need lungs to get cancer.
Huge Bay FC news buried in this article:
“…the team plans to construct a $3 million, 3,600 square-foot facility adjacent to the stadium that will house its locker room, offices, lounges and training rooms.”
NEW: John Fisher speaks for the first time since labeling PayPal Park "already outdated."

"As Earthquakes fans know, PayPal Park is one of the best venues in the world to watch a soccer game," Fisher said in the statement. ⬇️
Love how
@ThePlastics_SG
get told that they’re not family friendly and then the community comes together to share their photos of their kids that are growing up/have grown up in the world of SGs/terraces where profanity is a norm.
Today, I received an amazing, surprise gift from
@weareangelcity
. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and allowing a safe space to share my awful 2020 and lung cancer diagnosis at your event. Thank you Angel City FC!
It’s World Cancer Day and would feel remise if I didn’t say something.
I’m nearly 3 years since diagnosis & am still in treatment. Lung cancer is the
#1
cancer killer. My type is aggressive. My longevity is due to science and innovation. The drug I’m on isn’t 10 years old.
I was crying during the Wondo send off and I’m sure there were photos and I’ll be meme’d. But idgaf. Ya’ll are awful who make fun of a terminal lung cancer patient. ✌️
Today, I found out that my grandma who is in a long term care facility will be receiving the Covid19 vaccine within the next three weeks. Such great news. The end is in sight.
Maybe it’s the cancer treatment, but man I’m gassed. Not match fit for sure. Had a great time cheering for
#Quakes74
on the fan cam tonight. And I even brought out the 2014 Wondo from retirement.

So a bit of good news on the cancer front. My Drs talked and notified me yesterday that my new area of concern is not obviously cancer. It still could be, but nothing that requires treatment at this time! Next scan end of Dec & we will see where things are at.
It is my second Cancerversay today. It was a little more subdued than last year, with a family bbq and some cake. Thanks to everyone for their support the past two years.
I wish the news was better, but my scan was not ideal. There is a new area in my lung that might be progression. Next step will be having another lung biopsy and figuring out treatment options. Could be radiation, chemo, or a med change. Just waiting on scheduling now.
My mom has started putting some of my jerseys in cases and that was one of my Christmas gifts. While they still need a little love, it was a nice gift. The Thompson doesn’t have its COA in there yet either.

Updating my tracker; Earthquakes 2 tonight was my 31st game this year, and 31st week of the year. This is the most professional soccer games I’ve seen in person in a calendar year.
Radiation Day 2 accountability selfie. Not in the smiling mood, but here it is. Feeling the fatigue today along with some minor ailments.

NBA announces:
“In every city where the league franchise owns and controls the arena property, team governors will continue to work with local elections officials to convert the facility into a voting location for the 2020 to allow for a safe in-person voting.”
Significant.
Cheers to stable scans and another three months of life. You can catch me at

tonight. Already camped on a table since we have Warriors today too.
Just In: California Health and Human Services secretary announcing that as of March 15 state healthcare providers can begin vaccinating people ages 16-64 with "highest risk for morbidity and mortality from COVID-19"
My good news for this St. Patrick’s Day is that my cancer remains stable. No news is good news! This means treatment remains the same and I can go back to not worrying (as much) until the next one. Next scan in 3 months and also a brain MRI at that time.
What hasn’t been said about

I know many a child that has grown up in supporter sections/terraces. They are well aware of what profanity is. But seriously what child is listening to a soccer podcast. Seriously involved children will have already heard and seen worse.
Week 4: One day post chemo. Mostly just tired today. The throat pain from radiation has increased, but is being managed. Shirt from best tifo I’ve ever been a part of & the most famous. Got shared by Hamilton created Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Cancer scan results are in and mostly good. Smaller lymph nodes & tumor. One lymph node clean. But tumor still shows cancerous activity that might resolve on its own from current and past treatments. Next scan in 3 mos.

Hi 👋 I’m a stage 4 lung cancer survivor. I also have an adenocarcinoma tumor. Yesterday was my 1 year cancer anniversary, and I’m going strong with no evidence of disease. Do you have a genetic mutation?
