My heart goes out to all seniors who qualified to State and didn’t get a chance to compete. If OHSAA is not able to host a tournament at a later date they should at least recognize all seniors before finals next year and have them walk across the big stage.

We have 2 State Qualifiers! Jaden Mattox is District Champ for the 4th time in his career! Devin Wood places 3rd. Noah Ross lost a close match just missing qualification and placed 6th. Team was 11th out of 40 teams.

Congratulations to our District Qualifiers today. Hudson Leapley is a Sectional Champ! Nate Vanhouten and Omari Green took 2nd. Abel Garantche placed 4th. Uniah Neville, Patrick Hughes, and Max Webb placed 5th and are alternates. CCHS placed 5th out of 10 teams.
This was our 6th graders last official youth practice tonight. Some of them have been with us for quite awhile. Good luck guys! We know you will all do well in MS.
The night before Districts, we started a new tradition of touching Coach Lakso’s sign for good luck. Coach Lakso was a District Champ and a state placer for the Comets.

The Comets season ends at the District Tournament with no state qualifiers. I want to thank our 3 seniors for 4 great years! Abel Garantche, Michael Bradshaw, and Ali El-Barati: you will be missed!
