@UniqueMongolia Those weapons save Ukrainian lives by giving them something to shoot back with. Also, the Ukrainian people themselves don't want to negotiate yet and keep fighting. Ukraine can still win this as long as the aid continues.

@Ghidorah64 @bayraktar_1love I think it's because a lot of Russian forces that get sent to Ukraine eventually or forces that we're pulled from Africa and Syria. It makes sense to wipe them out there before sending them to Ukraine. It also forces the Russians to send reinforcements to these areas instead.

@LeonPidrilov Sort of. It looks like we are in the very beginning/probing phase now. This offensive isn't really meant to succeed tactically though. It's meant to draw Ukrainian forces and resources away from other fronts. No way can Russia take Kharkiv with just 50,000 troops.

@ReWildAmerica @WarClandestine That's not what is going to happen. The money goes to US companies to backfill the old weapons that we send to Ukraine. New equipment replaces the old ones so that our stocks don't run out and it gets modernized at the same time too. It's also a loan, so Ukraine will pay us back.
