A little clip from last night's insanity. Hopefully, I can get some time to render the rest of the clips into a longer video, with all the different angles.
I'm sure Twitter will do wonders on the quality...

band tonight, if short-lived. More fun was how much the old single-line hydro wire was buzzing earlier. Tentatively went up to it, and the old wooden pole was faintly vibrating.
Plows stuck. Trains stranded. Hydro towers and poles snapped. Ongoing heavy snowfall and drifting. 1000s of vehicles wrecked in accidents, some with 100+ in them. Pipes bursting... across the 1/2 the continent. But since it didn't do all this to the GTA, it's been exaggerated.
My timelapse of Friday's G5-level
#Auroraborealis
. So many different colours, phases and formations.... probably going to be hard to top this one.
From Parkhill, Ontario, Canada
My favourite of the bunch. A couple km in from Highland Glen. Lot of rage contained in there, with a cacophonic roar of thunder and wind...

What's rapidly becoming typical this year for
#sunsets
. Managed to get the sunspots despite the clouds and contrail.
#smoke
was about right, not too thick but enough to filter well.

New potential storm chasing recruit arrived Friday morning. Mom and little girlie are all good. If you don't see me out and about with the weather.... now you know why lol
The most water I've ever seen come over Rock Glen. Just incredible amounts of rain. Some roads around Arkona are overtopped.
Loud volume. ⚠️

So November, eh?! Some great bolts, a shelf(!).... If it wasn't 2°C, you'd never know it was practically winter.
Shot from Ipperwash Beach.

Last post on this event... The thing that keeps blowing my mind was the diversity of features, forms and colour: from overhead, N, W, E... pretty much any direction at times...

Looking east this morning from Parkhill, towards Lucan/London. Crazy low-level formation, really resembles a low mountain ridge. Anybody else see this?

My most ambitious comp yet, nearly 200 images. Learning more every time... Covers 4 sequences of the

last night, including overhead.

Storm really made the most of the good air this side of Lake St. Clair and the river. Really was hoping we were enough away from Erie to avoid the moderation and it paid off, watching this shelf build-in before us as it crossed the border.

A hell of a way to kick off the season by

standards. Wasn't much to look at until the WF tied in and boom... Shot from Wyoming down to Appin.

Dashcam view of what it's like near these squalls and bursts. This is near Grand Bend earlier, on 81. Road itself is pretty good, but visibility gets near 0 at times with heavy blowing snow and whiteouts.

Alright, from the start. Looking NW to the notch as the cell advanced across Huron.
From Highland Glen. If some has a radar grab from around 345pm...

Ok. So. This is where I pulled off to avoid getting run over by the tornado near Belgrave Rd. Perhaps just inside the northern edge of the circulation. It's the closest I've come to a tor and I'm never getting that close again.
