How the northern end of the Northern Line would have looked if the war hadn't intervened. Through trains to Bushey Heath, interchange at Highgate for Moorgate and Ally Pally
Possibly the strangest depiction of the Northern line I've seen. 1926 London Underground poster by Charles Herrick via

(doesn't look like a colour copy has survived)
Just arrived; a group of 1930s railway posters that were found in a locked drawer of an old station desk. Most have been trimmed for display in waiting rooms/offices
Another mid Sixties poster from the Joint Production Council/General Post Office, showing a variety of GPO roles to stress the democracy of good ideas !
A splendid, original, advertising poster for Guinness by Rodney Peppé, 1962. This large-scale poster would have been designed for outside hoardings and is a rare survivor in this size (60 x 40 inches)
Wartime propaganda intended to convince sceptical US audience that Britain presides over a commonwealth of trading nations, rather than an empire. Published about 1941
British Railways poster designed by Bernard Louis Myers c.1955. The abstract image shows a blurred passenger train speeding across a viaduct which may be based on the Royal Border Bridge at Berwick or the Welwyn Viaduct
I absolutely adore this early 60s railway poster for the Isle of Wight by Reginald Lander. There’s *a lot* going on - not always what you’d expect (more images attached)
Not sure what to do with this one. A very rare London Underground poster by the Brothers Warbis (1915) & one my all time favourite posters. Restore or conserve ?
This London Transport press ad (encouraging Londoners to move to Edgware) is from 1926. Apart from depicting dad looking after baby, there’s one other surprisingly modern detail. Can you spot it?
I've always had a real soft spot for 'industrial' railway posters. This one was painted by the English fine artist Charles Ernest Cundall (1890 – 1971) and features a goods train loaded with cargo from a brick works (c. 1949).
Huge station poster map of the London Transport system designed by R.G. Lewis in 1960. Fascinating to see the Tube in all its geographical glory, rather than as a diagram. I love the border design and compass-like roundel (top right). For sale etc
This railway poster by Terence Cuneo was commissioned to celebrate the centenary of the Royal Albert Bridge, 1958 - as featured recently on

Does anyone recognise the location of this Travel Association poster from c1949? The pub is called The George. Could be fictional, but lot of detail. Artist: Leonard Squirrell
Very excited to discover that this 1968 Beatles poster by Paul Whitehead was originally commissioned as the potential cover artwork for the then untitled White Album
British Rail Passenger Network folding map, 1982. The front shows the principal rail network of the British Isles in geographic format. The reverse depicts more detailed diagrammatic railway maps (next image)
Original British Railways’ poster from the Service to Industry campaign, c.1949-50, painted by the English fine artist Charles Ernest Cundall, RA RWS RP, (1890 – 1971)
Remember these ? Intercity melamine maps (as used in railway carriages, late 80s/early 90s). Discovered that these are now regarded as vintage, which makes me feel old
