At Brook, we believe that excellent sexual health, mental health, & wellbeing is a right. In 2023/24 we worked collaboratively to help 1.32 million people.
As we celebrate our 60th year, explore our online success report to see how we made a difference.
In 1964 Helen Brook created a pioneering health service providing unmarried women with access to contraception & support. 54 years later we are still here for every young person that needs us.

Brook is deeply disappointed by the decision to overturn Roe v Wade in the United States. We stand with women and pregnant people in the US and across the world in the face of this attack on human rights. Abortion is healthcare.

DATES 📢
Sexual Health Week is BACK and will take place from 10-16 October. We are determined to shout even louder about
#BreakingBarriers
and improving access to sexual health and wellbeing services.
👏 FRIENDSHIPS ARE RELATIONSHIPS TOO 👏
We need to teach young people that platonic friendships are as equally valid and important as romantic relationships. They play vital roles in our lives and require time and energy to nurture them.
We see the topic of consent as the bedrock of any RSE curriculum, across all key stages. Conversations about consent should begin at primary school and continue into secondary school. It should never be seen as a one off, standalone topic.

Even if you know the person, or you’re in a relationship with them, you should think of sending nudes as a sexual act and something you need to get consent for every time. If you can’t ask or you don’t get consent then don't send a nude.
