I will die on this hill. There are 0 excuses for why GNOME does not support server side decorations as a fallback, client side decorations should be available for apps that want them but you cannot, and will not force every app to implement them so get used to the bug reports.

If there's one statement I find insufferable it's "Linux is just a kernel" as a rebuttal to anything. Firstly you're a moron, Linux is the colloquial term for the operating system, get over it already. Secondly, it's not actually a rebuttal to anything, it's just semantics.

The craziest thing to me about the new Steam Deck OLED is Valve made the device better with a bigger battery, bigger storage, new OLED HDR screen, bigger screen, higher refresh rate and didn't keep the price the same, they actually lowered it.

this is the out of box experience for Windows 11's new Recall feature on Copilot+ PCs. It's enabled by default during setup and you can't disable it directly here. There is an option to tick "open Settings after setup completes so I can manage my Recall preferences" instead

Update as this sitation is evolving very quickly, Lasse Collin (the original XZ maintainer) is aware of the backdoor and will begin work soon to clean up the project. Jia Tan has also committed to the kernel in the past so now they're also scrambling to analyze some code.

I've been saying Neofetch was dead for years, good job catching up. It's a great project on it's technical merits but being written in bash script it's always been one of the slower options there are so many other great implementations nowadays
