You guys, there is nothing wrong with desiring marriage. Marriage is a beautiful thing that does not have to be idolatrous. Just keep in mind that you still take you into marriage, so it's not a fix all to the issues that need to be worked on between you and God. Amen?

Trauma stores in the brain & body as a survival mechanism of protection when we've been harmed, so even though we may forgive with our words, it can still take time for the heart to heal. We can have both forgiveness and boundaries until someone has proven themselves safe again.
