It takes a fair bit to shock me. But this has done it this morning.
You may remember some stories I wrote about the new owner of a Brighton pub who said he wanted to "donate" it to house refugees. But neighbours smelled a rat.
It's been a long wait, but today the sentencing of Tony Greenstein for plotting to vandalise an Israel-linked arms factory is about to start. I'm the only reporter on the CVP link to Wolverhampton Crown Court (not sure if any reporters are actually in the court)
Utterly baffled by that weird story which did the rounds over the weekend which claimed kids at some Brighton schools are told they can't say mum or dad.
My kids go to one of the schools, and it's utter rubbish. They've never been told that.

This is NOT true. My kids go to one of the schools, I know parents with kids at some of the others, and it's just a big, fat lie. They haven't banned the words mum and dad
Homeschooling parents - it's now 3pm on Friday which means we have done two whole weeks - a third of the way to half term.
We are pretty much halfway through winter.
The sun is now rising before 8am and by Wednesday will be setting after 4.30pm.
Hang on in there ...
So The Times picked up one of my stories and they've very kindly given me a byline too
My dad has read The Times every day since I can remember. Wondering whether he'll notice his daughter's name in it today

and Frank for helping me feed the beast.
You can see him there in the purple coat, handing out leaflets claiming they're beyond repair.
He's refused to tell me what his plans are for the pub now, saying I'm harassing him.
Very unclear why the tiles would be anyone's first priority in doing it up.
The suspension - his third - follows a series of tweets which seemed designed to provoke reports on Monday night, including stating that Israel has always been a racist endeavour and scatological abuse of Hove MP Peter Kyle and others
Sat at a table outside Pizza Express spending more than a year's worth of Tesco vouchers and very much enjoying the parade of posh frocks, sky high heels and hen do sashes flowing through The Lanes. Glad rags are back!

Hi Helen, I was also in court for this. The prosecutor read out your police statement, as well as your victim impact statement.
I haven't gone through my notes closely, but the quotes in that piece are pretty much what I remember him quoting you saying. Unsure re pronouns
So today, we've had a bit more self-isolating reported from a handful of schools.
