Being Black means waking up thinking you're going to have a normal day, but instead you're re-traumatized by footage of senseless and excessive violence toward your community. An unarmed Black man was shot 7 times in the back while his three kids watched. I'm so tired.

Today I’m grateful for supportive colleagues. I recently had three women stop by my office just to check in one of whom brought me flowers just because. Even though #newPIs are told they can ask for help, it makes it so much easier if people show you they’ll be there to listen.

One of our first orders from back in January. I can vividly remember the “okay we’re really doing this” feeling. (Honestly I have this thought at every tiny milestone 😂) I’m still amazed to see how far we’ve come and can’t believe we may actually be able to do science soon!
