Saw a @SaskatoonPolice officer give a ride home to a very cold looking fellow on the North end who had a long walk ahead. I didn't see the car #, but the officer should be recognized for kindness. It was at corner of Miller and 51st.

@tammyrobert Our courthouses are independant & directed by the chief judges for each court. They have established protocols in consultation with the CMO. Stakeholders have been meeting regularly throughout the pandemic.Notwithstanding significant traffic we have avoided courthouse outbreaks!

Private business can make private rules. Obviously easier if Gov mandate directs, but HR allows only limited claim.

@CBCSask Lets support the proper funding of police & social programs. Police are called upon to deal with many social issues that need proper funding. Some types of calls are outside current police training. Properly equipped/trained police improve public safety and reduce use of force.

Hopefully we can build jails faster than homes. The women's jail has been around 130% capacity in SK. Men's facility barely better. Around 60% of population is already on remand awaiting trial. Does this also include a budget for more cops? Judges? Crown? Legal aid? It better.

Last week, listening to The Tragically Hip’s “Wheat Kings” inspired by David Milgaard. When we met in 2019, David signed my copy. I told him that I would reform the wrongful conviction process, so no one would ever go through what he did. I hope I lived up to that promise.
