Christian | Boy Mom I 8th grade Social Studies teacher for 20 years| 1st year teaching High School Personal Finance and Econ| GA | ALWAYS time for coffee
Tears among tears among tears. I went to purchase some items off of my list because of a personal return issued as a GC instead of back to my CC. This is what I found.
I do not know who you are yet, but Thank You! Not to use the GC to shop a couple lists.
#clearhthelist
I am beyond blessed by you all. Thank you
@DiggerKPs139
@Mamacoopah
and one who is unnamed. Each of these items will be used and I will remember your kindness. 🫶🏻
If you are a praying person, please say a prayer for my oldest sister. Her name is Lisa. My parents are rushing her to the hospital with major breathing issues.
Thank you

(Chris), and M. C. Alexander (sorry, I don’t know your user handle) for you contributions of the Game of Life games and calculator. They may seem simple, but they mean so much.
My heart is full seeing teachers’ list being purchased from. Hopefully one day our school system will be back on board with posting list. Part of me wants to accidentally take my list off of private.
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Just like the sun shows up on the good and bad days, we have remember when we step in the classroom for some students we are their sunshine.
I truly wish for you the best of days!
Please keep the prayers going up. Heck, even good vibes if you’re not a believer. Lisa has severe pneumonia and her blood pressure, which is normally low, is really high. They are admitting her, but our small town ICU is full. I can’t lose her.

In June I wrote a local grant for introducing my students to coding. I figured as a social studies teacher my chances were slim and then this happened during first period. What a way to start the week! On to 2nd.

Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day, so for this I am posting my classroom wishlist in hopes of kind souls helping me serve 162 students. I will also be reposting other teachers who could use some kindness as well.

We were just informed that Wishlists are no longer allowed to be posted on social media; however, new content = NEED HELP. If you could help by purchasing anything within the next couple of days I would be grateful beyond measure. Please repost/share.
One of the assistant principals from my last school sent me these text messages today. What a smile these placed on my heart. God gives you what you need when you need it!
Have a great week!
Now that we are all back to teaching, how is your year starting off? This is one of my top 5 of the past 20 years.🥰
Still have items you need? Post your list below and let’s RT!

Today is the last day for my Wishlist to be up. I realize I am asking a lot; however, the Game of Life is a central piece to Unit 3. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Please share is possible, as I have no idea who to tag anymore.
Have a great day!
If you know my dilemma in posting, please note there is a reason behind my list starting with Self Care. I am excited and nervous about this new teaching chapter, but it’s going to be great!

This is my last week as an 8th grade teacher. Thank goodness for extra room at the pond house, as my spare bedroom would have exploded. I have loved and enjoyed the past 20 years in middle grades. Here’s to hoping the next 10 or so at the high school level are just as awesome!
Thank you
@peytonjones459
and
@DiggerKPs139
for supporting my kiddos!
I had my widows opened today and a student (?) stopped by and said, “Are you that teacher who gives out food?” I guess I now offer walk up service. 😉
I just was offered and accepted the Economics teaching job at the high school for next year. I have so much planning and learning to do. It's going to be new, but I am so ready for the challenge.

I am beyond thankful for the support from this platform. My students have had more opportunities because of you. I am putting my Amazon list out again for anyone who wants to bless our room.
Have a wonderful rest of the week!
With this, my
#clearthelist
is CLEARED! 😊After ordering the four remaining Raspberry Pi devices, there was enough left for the bookkeeper to order the storage bins from my wishlist as well. Some say patience can manifest your needs. Still in shock.

Thank you all for the prayers this far, please continue. Lisa has made some small improvements since yesterday. They are checking for MRSA in her respiratory system.
We could not ask for better care from our small town hospital.
Sending my mom home to rest for a couple hours.
Today is going to be a great day, even if we have to be the ones to make it great.
I hope this Friday is one that makes you smile and dance your way into the weekend (with coffee of course).
I am normally the upbeat, giving, look on the bright side person. This week that has just been hard to muster. Students have taken to Snapchat - hence the hugs, notes, chairs (!) and a former student brought me coffee and flowers this afternoon. Even heartbroken, I am blessed.
You all have a great evening. I will never finish this book if I keep scrolling your lists. May your list be cleared and your night be restful.

Hoping today gives us the opportunity to show our students that we are their biggest fan for success, even on the hard days or those who are “hard to love”.
But first…
My students have decided their Community Kindness project for December (yes, we plan ahead) is for our faculty/staff. They want to set up a hot chocolate and apple cider bar during midterms. This is our largest act, as we have over 120 at our school. (1/2)
Our school system is on spring break this week. On Friday, I had a student to tell me not to forget about her on Tuesday, because today is special for her. Darling girl, I could not forget you if I tried.

All but the gift cards and that is okay. My heart is full with the kindness shown by those on this platform - not just the purchases, but also the amounts of reposts and quotes to help. I could not have done this alone.
I am starting to plan for my new curriculum for next school year. It is bittersweet to be leaving 8th grade social studies behind, but I am excited for the high school Personal Finance and Economics course I will be teaching. It is a new course. Any input is greatly appreciated!
I have not posted my list in a bit. My 162 teenagers are hungry ALL THE TIME. If some sweet souls could show them some love it would make the day (and tummies).
Ya’ll never in a million years did I think I would be part of a day like today. 🥲 I am humbled. I have shopped some lists and have also re-tweeted lists as well. Please, if you can visit their lists. 💗

This is my last attempt for help to clear some items from my wishlist (it has to come down in the morning). I am teaching a new course, so these items are desperately needed!
With changes taking place in our district, this is my last time posting my Wishlist and it will come down Monday. Any Hail Mary pass, last second half court shot or grand slam is appreciated just as much as your willingness to repost! TIA!
It’s been a busy day. (Thankfully!) Did I need this to make it through the last period of the day? Why yes, yes I did.
A student made me a bracelet. Heart smiles. Pure sweetness. 💕
I had to fill in for a Sunday school teacher this morning and there was no dull moment to say the least with those four boys. This little redhead kept me on my toes. Loved. It.
I have put in for a possible transfer to a high school position. My undergrad is in secondary education social studies, but found myself teaching middle grades for the past 20 years. If it is God’s will, I am excited for the possibility and change.

Next week is Teacher Appreciation week, and you are probably seeing these floating around (it doesn’t have to be mine), please feel to share some love.

Find a TEACHER and buy them a coffee or soda!
It will put a smile on our faces today!🥰

Hoping I get a coffee or two!💞☕️
At some point between leaving yesterday and this morning, I have some new monitor accessories. Hmmm?
I know I have too many sticky notes, but the kiddos felt they need them there.
@6thwithsmith1
The chokehold that these plushies and playdoh have on me 🤩🥹
Plushies would be used as reading buddies!
Playdoh for brain breaks!
Share please! 🙏🏻 maybe a someone will help 😚🤩💗

Happy Saturday! I didn’t have my phone as the sunrise reflected off the pond, but if the beauty of it is an indication of the day then it’s bound to be great.
Packing up my classroom this morning to transition over to the high school. It doesn’t seem real yet.
Have a great one!
Even though my list is cleared, I see you all. I am reposting and helping as much as personally I can as a single mom/teacher. I wish I could help conduct the train as Dorian, Ryan, and others are, but I will try to serve as your rail attendant along the way. 🚂

Why is it that the short work weeks sometimes seem as if they have extra days added on? I love teaching, but glad for the weekend.
Have a FANTASTIC FRIDAY!
Somedays you need to end the day with a little something extra. Also, I have met my quota for breaking up fights.
Still - no complaints.
Tomorrow is a much needed professional learning.
