Lane & Allie (and Kasey) went out to see the site of their former home yesterday for the first time. They are just taking it all in. Lane’s face is looking so much better - he can open both eyes & got the all clear from the optometrist!

There are so many people out here at their house helping, it’s amazing. Rounding up cattle, sorting through rubble, bringing food and water. Thank you everyone! We found their other dog & they are both at the vet. We found Lane’s stuffy & are still looking for Allie’s. 💕

Kids are so happy today to A) see Millie! Scout has to have another surgery 😢🙏🏻 B) ride scooters that some sweet friends gave them, and C) go swimming!! We are sad & physically hurting, but normalcy is important. Praying for the people of Oklahoma.

Lane’s baseball team had a tournament this weekend, and Kasey and Wes help coach, so naturally, they made it. Even though Lane couldn’t play, they wanted to be there to support. And our favorite basketball team @ACU_MBB came out to support too 😭🫶🏻

This is Texas 🫶🏻 this morning I let Wes take my car out to see the damage and start cleanup. They own a cattle company, Lambert Livestock. They had several head of cattle on their property that survived the tornado, but all the fences were down. Neighbors & friends stepped up.

The community stepped up and completely cleared the debris from the foundation & helped sort through everything salvageable. The barn is in the background, still a lot of work to be done in the fields/fences. Scheduling some work days soon for people to come out and help.

The same tornado that destroyed the Lambert’s home also destroyed a neighbor’s new construction that was not yet insured. I’m sharing their go fund me as well! They could really use the help.
