On May 28, 1924, Congress passed the Labor Appropriation Act of 1924, officially establishing the U.S. Border Patrol for the purpose of securing the borders between inspection stations. Happy birthday Border Patrol from all of us at Border Patrol Foundation.
In HONOR of our fallen. This year hundreds of names will be engraved on the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC. This year marks the 35th Annual Candlelight Vigil in Washington, DC.

! Through the grant, BPF provides $7,500 scholarships for the children of fallen agents and $1,000- $5,000 scholarships to the children of active/retired agents!

and I share the loss of Border Patrol Agent Agustin Aguilar, Jr. He served honorably for 19 years, most recently as a K9 instructor and handler. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues. He will never be forgotten.

Today our very own Executive Director & Surviving Spouse Erica Aguilar participated in a patch run at the USBP Academy with Class 1158. The patch run is where you earn your patch, worn by all the agents holding the line. The USBP badge is earned not given.

Yesterday we lost a brother in green to cancer, BPA Felipe Sanchez from the Harlingen Station. Before he passed, his fellow agents gave him a final goodbye at the hospital; an honorable gesture that his family will never forget. RIP Felipe, you were a great man who will be missed
