What can I do if I feel faint? Sit down immediately, draw your knees up and put your head between your legs. Squat if you can. Squeeze your calf muscles and tummy muscles and clench your buttocks. Lie down flat and put your legs in the air against a wall.
Fainting can be a symptom of an arrhythmia. If you experience an unexplained fainting episode, download the STARS Blackouts Checklist and discuss with your doctor who may refer you to an electrophysiologist (heart rhythm expert) for further tests.

Do you take fainting to heart?
Most people rank dehydration, exhaustion and stress as the leading causes of fainting but in many cases, fainting is the only sign of an abnormal heart rhythm (arrhythmia)
which is a leading cause of sudden cardiac arrest.
