My fellow priests have taken a truly awful number of covid funerals. I said prayers with one family in a car-park and then walked the coffin alone straight to the back of the crematorium. It was heartbreaking.

In my daughter's Primary Sch Maths lesson every day the first question is to score yourself out of 5 for how you are feeling. The teacher explains that for this question there is no such thing as a wrong answer. If you give yourself a 1 or 2, they follow it up privately. #Heroes
