How stingy is this? 6 Hamilton Councillors voted AGAINST paying cleaners $20/hr: Garry Mallett James Casson Leo Tooman Rob Pascoe Ryan Hamilton ALL voted against paying cleaners properly. It was only bc Mayor Andrew King used his casting vote that the pay rise went through.

I know folk like to rag on churches, but when I'm in the field, y'know who my participants talk highly of? Churches. Of various denominations. Churches & churchy people provide free meals, social support, foodbanks, a listening ear, kindness, dignity & respect.

The husband, the lovely big sap that he is, couldn't walk on by someone clearly so worried about managing this unexpected expense, and even more so w kids. He paid sorted a taxi and a hotel for her and the kids, told her not to worry about it and just get home ok tomorrow

60+yrs ago a whole Hamilton street signed a petition to request that the Māori couple who had recently purchased a house (freehold no less!) be removed for 'bringing down the character' of the street and a whole host of other blatantly racist statements.

The husband booked us a place with a pool. It looked much bigger in the photos 🤣 not sure it would fit our fam, let alone any other guests 😂 nevertomind, tis the perfect size for a fish-like 9yo and she is happy so we are happy 😊

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Tax cuts = service cuts What services are they gonna slash and burn so that they can give wealthier groups and extra 60 bucks or more a week? It hurts all of us in the end, having fewer services and supports.

Omg my 11yo got abandoned inside the bus by a bus driver at the bus depot and believe me when I say I went full Karen when she called me, her voice full of panic and worry.
